I think we have some young talent all over this team it will just take time for some of these guys to develop and learn . I think if we can recruit more depth on the lines , especially on defense it will be better . The Davis brothers etc aren’t that bad but it’s tough to go against some of the great O-lines in the B1G for four quarters and not get worn out . With our relatively quick strike offense (when it works right) they are on the field an awful lot too, so quality backups to rotate in would help . Looking at the 2019 class gives me hope too, Mills , Heinrich, Hickman , and especially McCaffery could be great future contributors . Will be interesting to see who they add to the class also .

I went with 4 . I think once this team gets its first win the confidence level will go up and that momentum could lead to more wins . Ohio state is the best team left and probably a loss,but the rest of the teams we should be able to compete with . All want is our team to compete with them better than last year . Yeah beating Iowa could definitely make this season much better too lol

Nope . What they have to do , and need to do , is block out all the talk and get back to work preparing for next Saturday’s game . We’ll have fun playing the blame game and arguing but in the end it really doesn’t matter what we say . It definitely shouldn’t anyway .

My first thought when I read the tweet was “I can totally believe the coaches couldn’t win the game because they aren’t on the field playing the game “ I thought it might have been more of a jab at some fans who are laying all the blame on the coaches . There are many reasons we lost these 6 games and coaching is only part of it .

I listened to the game on the radio and didn't see these things. Your input helped me understand what happened, better than what i heard. I was thinking its kind of a pick your poison thing myself. Our d line cant get pressure on their own so we need to bring others in to help. That puts more pressure on the cover guys who are struggling to make plays though . Or we can can drop extra guys into coverage which gives the opposing QB all day to pic our D apart. Ideally you would want to have guys who can put pressure on the QB AND guys who can lock down coverage, do we really have either?

In my opinion nope. There are many on here saying they "know" the coaches suck it all their fault and i don't think that's true. Part of my point was that the only ones who really know whats happening, and why, are the coaches and players.

There's no accurate way to assess how much is scheme and how much is players, especially by any of us. Sitting on the couch its easy to see a blown coverage, no pass rush , stupid penalty but not necessarily why? I think when the coaches call plays and design schemes they are trusting the players to execute and make plays.and in many instances our players just aren't getting it done. when we had players like Amukamara, Suh, Wistrom, Demorrio Williams etc who could bring pressure, or make plays in coverage the schemes were much less important.We don't have players like that on this team.

We have had no pass rush and a sketchy secondary/blown assignments, for many years, no matter the scheme . I would lean more towards personnel on that issue.

Trump called Nazis and White Supremecists very fine people on live tv and refused many opportunities to condemn them . That all we need to know about where he stands .

If a player has any aspirations of getting to the NFL they won’t do it sitting on the bench . I don’t like them transferring but I understand it . Most teams block players from going to division schools or rivals so I’m not sure I get the Oregon state thing since they are neither . Even IF all these players go to OSU, and win lots of games there, I don’t see it having any effect on our program .

@ hn1 that choice is up to Trump . If he continues along the same path, doing the same abhorrent things that many have cited here , he will be called out for it, and he should be .

1.I thought Obama should have pushed universal health care when he had the political power to do it . Trying to work with the GOP on that one was a mistake . 2. I was all in favor of the withdrawal from our unnecessary occupation in Iraq but I thought Obama botched it by announcing the withdrawl date and pulling out too abruptly. That made things worse . 3. I didn’t think he went far enough condemning extremists who did violent acts in the name of BLM .
