Ya who doesn't love academics. I mean, that translates to wins more so than superb athletes.
You do know there is a university attached to our football program, right?
Yea, but football brings in a crap load of money and shouldn't be ignored. Nobody is ignoring the football program, but that money gets allocated to the athletic department, not the general university. Yes, a strong athletic department/football program does have an impact on enrollment numbers, but so does being a strong academic program.
The better the academics, the more students want to attend UNL, that creates more alumni, and increases the donations to the school.
