I still think Deion would be a huge risk to take as a HC but after reading some of his recruiting philosophies and what he says it takes to win in P5 football, I might be okay with giving him a shot. He said skill players will always do their thing but when it comes to winning games, it starts in the trenches and at QB. He brought in 7 linemen from the transfer portal and has gotten a commitment from a 4* DL already this year.

This. Duval is still stuck in the 90’s when it comes to S&C and he isn’t even good with that. Dobson was actually a very good S&C guy but he was lazy. He had his staff do most of the work. Mark Philipp was also a very good S&C coach but was hamstrung by Epley. Epley didn’t like the Philipp got rid of all the equipment that he had “invented” and went with his own stuff. I will also add that Epley was lobbying for Duval when Riley was hired. Riley went with his guy and that added to issues with the S&C.
