  1. I'm re-watching the game and the Dline is getting good penetration on the Oline, but are just getting beat by the RB at the LOS.
  2. Getting pissed that all the good games are blacked-out on espn3...Makes for a long night at work.

  3. I'm not trying to diminish your wife's dedication to our team, but, I came home a month ago and my wife told me she had ordered her Nebraska gear for the year from Victoria secret. I'm just saying. Pics or it didn't happen...
  4. We were redoing our dining room and my wife was tearing out the ceiling when a bat dropped down on her. It landed right on her shoulder and stuck. I laughed so hard that I pee'd a little cause she started running around with her arms swinging everywhere screaming to get it off. I ended up grabbing it with my coat and took it outside to let it go.
  5. I don't 'skers story about meeting Pelini but it must not have turned out like he was hoping from reading his posts. I have personally met Bo and Carl while at a pee-wee football game and enjoyed a good conversation with them. My wife and I sat next to them and talked the whole time while the game was going on. It gave me a different perspective of Bo then what I previously had of him which wasn't very good because of his sideline antics.
  6. This is one of the reasons I am beginning to hate watching football. They are pu$$yfing the game and making it almost 2 hand touch. I understand they are doing it for safety, but come on.
  7. We are really going to miss Rex when he is gone. The guy is what every player should strive to be, a really good player and a really great guy.
  8. We need to go out and play our game no matter if it's against USM or Wisconsin. Let the nation know that we aren't messing around.
  9. Little late to the party, my friend. Well sh!t...nothing new for me in that aspect.
  10. I disagree. Garrison came on board and we saw an uptick in performance. That combined with his recruiting prowess makes him an asset to the coaching staff. He basically has filled some of the many deficits created by our head offensive line coach. He should not be blamed for what Cotton is doing. They share duties, but Cottom makes the final decisions. I think if the line under achieves once again this year, then Barney could take a "lateral" position in the AD department. They " share " duties in coaching but all the blame goes to Cotton? How does that work?
  11. Stai is a volunteer coach and is limited in what he can do with the players. The coaches that should get the blame are Cotton AND Garrison.
  12. I like how Stanton had good pocket presence and continued to move around to avoid the rush while keeping his eyes down field. I would love for Devon Allen to become a Husker, that kid can flat out fly.
  13. The false starts and holding penalties are hardly Cotton's fault. It is up to the players to play the right way and do the right things.
  14. This kid looked great last night in his game against Lexington Catholic. He is a very smooth runner with elusiveness and great speed.
  15. This can be a yes and no answer...The first rankings come out and the commitments do not mean much but when the 2nd and 3rd re-rankings come out, I think guys get bumped up because of who they are committed too.
  16. I could not disagree more. I think Abdullah is an explosive back with an incredibly bright future. He's an explosive kick returner, who goes down almost immediately upon contact. Because every freshman should be able to run over people when they weigh 180lbs.
  17. Okay, I'll play. Nebraska in your scenario because they have the better team and will probably continue to have the better team. That said... Who do you think has a better chance of winning a national championship in the next five years, Oregon or Nebraska? Nebraska has a much better history. So does Harvard and Notre Dame. The answer is Oregon. In fact, if UNL played UO head to head, who would win? I'd give 17 points and take Oregon if the game were in Lincoln. In Autzen? Pffft, 28 maybe. As far as last year's poll, I think all three highly ranked Pac 12 teams were ranked higher than Wisconsin or would have been had USC been eligible. The media darling thing is BS too. 1 in 4 televisions in this nation reside in Big 10 country. If anything, the Big 10 has been overrated for years and most Nebraska fans agreed with that statement prior to joining the Big 10. What's sad is we Nebraska fans are sounding more and more like Notre Dame fans. The longer we stay mediocre by our standards, the more we will hold onto past accomplishments. The Pac 12 is a much better baseball conference. Arizona won the College World Series this year. My Beavers won it back to back in '06 and '07. UCLA, USC and ASU have won it also. Academics is an interesting topic, Bucky. One of the reasons the Big 10 and Pac 12 have stuck with each other is because they respect each other's academic institutions. You say the Big 10 is better. I think Stanford, Cal, UCLA, Washington and USC speak for themselves. How can you say this is bs? Have you been on espn or any other sports sites lately? The media promotes the PAC10, mostly USC, more then they do any other confrence besides the SEC.
  18. The Big10 had 6 teams in the top 25 for total defense last year while the Pac10 didn't have 1. The closest team was Stanford at 28. The Pac10 had 4 teams in the top 25 for total offense while the Big10 had 1 (Wiscy) with northwestern at 28. To me, the Big10 is a better confrence from top to bottom and the Pac10 is to top heavy and is a media darling. This gives them a perception of being a better confrence.
  19. We have a winner! You are correct zeWilbur...I don't know where I got the coaching part but it did have to do with having confidence in selling the school to a kid.
  20. I bet if Texas offers he is gone. Texas has the #1 dual threat qb in the nation committed for 2013 in Vince Young- clone Tyrone Swoopes. This may or may not play into Heard's thinking although currently, Texas's qb depth chart is a joke. I think Bronson Marsh could start over both David Ash and Case McCoy. I think Swoopes kinda disappeared in the eyes of Texas fans as the recruiting process has moved along. Some are saying that he might not even be the best QB in the state and are saying Heard is the better of the 2.
  21. Franklin said when he hires an assistant, he looks at the guy's wife before he decides if he wants the guy. Said that if the wife is hot, then it means the guy has confidence in himself and that will translate into coaching.
  22. Kids leave programs all the time for various reasons. I know you don't want to hear it but it is the truth. Some just think it is the best decision for them and that is what they do.
  23. Our o-line play has been pretty sad to watch since Tenopir was forced out. Neither Cotton or Wagner have been able to really develop any of these guys. I just get the feeling if we had the O-line coach from Wisc or Iowa our line would be a force. Wisconsin, okay I see that. But Iowa? What are you, on dope? Iowa has had better lines then we have over the last 5-6 years. They have had 13 olinemen drafted since 2003 and 2 first rounders in back to back years (2010 and 2011)
  24. ok, now i feel better, someone came along and told our guys to play more aggressively.......that should fix everything. They have to be told to play aggressively?! Meredith, in my opinion, should not even be starting up front. We have Ankrah, Carter, and The Caveman who can all outplay him. Meredith is almost becoming as good at this coach speak jargon as the coaches themselves. Nothing said before the Nebraska season means anything. We have heard nothing but positive things every off season, only to turn around and see that there are many many negatives still hampering this team. I'll believe we are focusing on attacking when I SEE that we are attacking. I don't believe "attacking" is even part of Bo Pelini's scheme, so I don't really believe Kaz is going to come in here and change the front four. Bo's scheme is built on "bend don't break". Bo's front four has never been attacking. Aside from Suh, we have not had a dominant defensive lineman at Nebraska sine Bo has been here. I hope something is about to change that, but I'm not holding my breath. Meredith has been our best Dlineman since Suh left. I would even venture to say that he was better then Crick. As far as Bo not taking advice, how do you know? Bo is maturing as a coach and has probably heard from people that are close to him that he needs to listen to his assistant coaches more. Kaz has been in the B1G for more fyears then Bo and has coached up some good Dlinemen, why wouldn't you listen to him.
