Doesn't it seem like we have had a hard time putting together a good offense, and a good defense in the same year? Bo's 1st year we had a great offense, and mediocre defense. 2nd and 3rd years we had great defenses and were dreadful on offense. Last year we were mediocre on both. It would be nice if we could put two units (offense/defense) together that were both really good in the same year.

Will Compton (Insert name of greatest leader) couldn't have helped Whaley make those tackles, or help our D stop the QB run....

I would like to see more of Imani Cross throughout the game. I know he had 11 carries for 62 yards, but 6 or 7 of those carries were on the last drive. I would like to see him work in the thick of the game, and end up with 15 or 18 carries in the game.

A good running game, and solid defense is a great start to success. Having said that, I have them 3rd right now.

Why do you not see that happening? It would seem to me that if HIS coach thinks he'll be back at that time, then he should be back around that time.

I could see that, Qvale and the rest of the line looked great. i think it was that, or he felt pressured to come to NU and ended up resenting making a decision based on pressure. (i know, a little psycho-drama, but it would make sense). I think he'll regret his decision. Especially after watching that game Saturday!

Adullah, Heard, Cross, and Marrow will all see the ball again. A bad Rice team put up some points on UCLA, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Abdullah go over 100, and the team just under 300 yards for the day....

Didn't we have 632 yards of offense last week? It looks to me like he left because he was losing his starting job to Qvale.... He played great Saturday....

t-1. Nebraska t-1. Ohio St. 3. Michigan St. 4. Michigan t- 5. Purdue t- 5. Wisconsin 7. Northwestern 8. Illinois 9. Iowa 10. Minnesota 11. Penn. St. 12. Indiana I feel that Purdue is really going to challenge Wisconsin for the right to go to the B1G Championship. They are a solid team, and Wisky looked (just one game though) vulnerable against UNI. That will be a fun race to watch this year, in my opinion. The Legends division is going to be interesting, and a lot of it depends on how Michigan responds to the ass-kickin' they took in Dallas. If they crumble then they will be out of the race early. I will be watching Michigan very closely next week against Air Force (maybe ?). If Michigan St. QB situation doesn't improve I think we will see a repeat of last year in Lincoln when Nebraska and Mich State square off in East Lansing. Nebraska, as we all know, eats pocket passers alive in recent years. It should be a very competitive season in the B1G, and just the thought of it makes me happy we joined the conference. GBR!!!!

We have a full arsenal of weapons on offense (new nickname for offense swiss army knife?) and it is very tempting to get real excited about it. I know that Bo was going for an "Oregon" style of offense, and it seems that he might be getting there quicker then I thought we would....

Definitely one of the big concerns from the game. We've got no shot at a bowl without this guy. Sarcasm?.... Surely that post is filled with sarcasm, right?

Good thing this defense doesn't have to play against Taylor Martinez.... That guy is a boss....

The secondary was untested today, so there is a chance that we could be very good in that area (lets hope we are).... The secondary is less of a concern for me than the line. I think our best position groups are linebacker, secondary (despite the youth), and then the defensive line. The secondary could be very good, I completely agree. But the line...it's just been underwhelming the last two years and I think we really need to bolster the talent there. With three true freshmen challenging for playing time already, hopefully the talent is already in the room....

It's hard to tell at this point, but if you're a QB, and they got you working as a punt returner, then you are atleast buried on the depth chart....

I don't think their strategy towards this will change at all. If they were actually interested in DEVELOPING a backup QB then they would have went with Armstrong as the #2. Instead, they will redshirt Armstrong, and go with Kellogg who will always be a backup here at Nebraska, and who is also a rock solid contributor to the team. This is my opinion, but if they planned on using their backup QB a lot this year, they would have went with Mr. Armstrong....

I agree, it is odd that they don't see the necessity of getting the back-up playing time. Having said that, I won't complain about getting to watch Peyton Ma, I mean Taylor Martinez play a couple more series....

A lot of people seem to think that Cross is slow, but he never really got into the open field, so do we really know yet? I would imagine that he has some quickness too him.

One of our unready TEs scored a TD and had at least one other reception. People don't realize how important cotton is to the running game. Yes Jake Long filled in well today but we need a healthy Cotton this year. Maybe you don't realize how important Rex is to the running game. Rex's injury is the most important one by far....

Tyler Moore, and Aaron Green will both regret leaving this team/offense....

I just assumed that she was crying about Rex.... (How I envision the conversation) NU staffer: "Honey, Tim is going to be fine." Tim's GF: "Who gives a sh*t about Tim, Rex has ice on his knee!!!!"

We are absolutely stacked at the wide receiver position.... The depth is pretty incredible (Enunwa is a BEAST, did he ever get tackled)....
