  1. Sandy's for some Elk Creek Water South end of town.... for dinner, Famous Dave's is always good
  2. He's not RG3, but he was far from a INT machine. http://espn.go.com/c...162701/joe-ganz When KU put up 70+ against us, how many INT's did he throw that day? How many of those INT's resulted in points for KU? That also happened to be his very first start. Ever. He threw 4tds and 4ints that game, but no matter how many ints he threw, he is the reason that score wasnt 76-3
  3. I've only driven through Laramie once, and past it on the Interstate four or five times, but from what I remember it was a nice enough town. It's not impressive in the way the Wyoming Rockies are impressive, but I think you could do worse than to judge Wyoming by Laramie. Rock Springs, Rawlins, and Evanston come to mind. Yeesh. I HATE ROCK SPRINGS!!!! Have car trouble EVERY time we have stopped for gas in that town... never doing that again lol
  4. Love to make it out there, love Wyoming
  5. No one really thought Tressel would either..... but im with all of you in the hopes that Nebraska stays clean
  6. Sucks about Adi, especially after that kick and how much his team believed in him
  7. I learned that Burkhead is HUGE compared to last year, he will be even more of a beast this year for sure
  8. Not until you said something, damn it lol btw, wh were you looking at the crotches of the mascots? o_O
  9. Big Ten will be forced to expand if the Big 12 implodes... they dont want to be caught with the scraps, they are gonna want the best schools available, not wait and wait and wait and be stuck with K-state and Iowa St, or any other bad to mediocre school
  10. http://www.kansascity.com/2011/08/14/3076121/decision-day-arrives-for-starling.html The Kansas City Star seems to think Bubba was Challenging Martinez for the starting position before he went back to Gardner last thursday LOL
  11. once they secure a 14th team..... im sure the invite will come
  12. "Bo Pellini going off on and threatening Bubba Starling is great news for the Royals." Who the hell is Bo PELLINI? LOL I know of a Bo Pelini, but Pellini? Come the F^^^ on Gammons, ya douche
  13. That may be. But I wonder if just enrolling has something to do with it? If you recall the whole Roburt Sallie deal with why he wasn't able to play for us was because he had enrolled before, thus he went to Memphis. Granted it's not completely the same, and I'm pretty sure Bubba has time to drop classes though, and I can't imagine our administration office dropping the ball on the same sort of thing twice. Especially with someone as high profile as Bubba. From what Ive heard, is that Bubba isnt enrolled as a fulltime student... not taking enough credits to be considered such... and that the The clock for him starts when he is taking the full number of credits to be a fulltime student
  14. Seems Bubba is askin for $10mil, but only being offered $7.5mil http://my.journalstar.com/post/Husker_Extra_Group/Husker_Extra/blog/report_starling_may_be_seeking_10_million.html
  15. BUT the longer we go with out a decision, the better chance we have IMO
  16. At least when I was in college they would not let you ever sign up for two classes at one time. You would always get error message. I don't see how now would be any different. Exactly why I asked, thank you
  17. ^^^ So why exactly would they LET him sign up for two classes on the same day at basically the same time? thats idiotic
  18. I think you're right. And I don't know that, if this is a negotiating tactic, that it has even a remote chance of being successful. This is how I see it: The deal Bubba signs is being negotiated right now, via direct contact and via his actions/statements. Everything he says and does is being analyzed by the Royals' front office. In order to get the contract and the bonus he (or Boras) wants, the Royals must believe Nebraska is a viable option. Bubba and his folks have publicly stated that there is a strong chance he'll come to Nebraka, and they have set a date for his arrival - today. That sets in motion a chain of events which MUST HAPPEN, or the negotiation benefit of this ploy (if that's what it is) is lost. Bubba must show up to Nebraska, today or very near today. Bubba must participate in Fall Camp, and not do it half-assed. He must go full out, as if he's trying to win the starting spot or, failing that, as if he truly means to play football here. The Royals will not want their multi-million dollar investment, and their top-ten pick, injured in Fall Camp. Therefore they are likely to put restrictions on Bubba's activity in Lincoln. If Bubba flouts those restrictions, he stands to lose millions in signing bonuses or in salary. If he does abide by the Royals' restrictions, however, he sends a clear indication that he's likely playing pro ball, again weakening his bargaining position. He also runs the significant risk of alienating Pelini by listening to the Royals rather than Bo. If he has zero intention of coming to Nebraska at all, the risk to his body physically by participating in Fall Camp is ridiculous. But by committing himself to come here, he must or the ploy fails. I don't see anything he gains by coming here that the Royals can't easily undermine by setting a few simple rules on his behavior here. His hand is too-easily forced by the Royals simply by choosing to come to Nebraska. The way I see it, with going off of your statement here is if they put restrictions on him and he decides not to listen to them, they threaten his bonus... all he has to do is keep practicing hard, they can cut his bonus all they want, and he will show them that he is perfectly happy playing Football... the closer Aug. 15th gets.... the more likely they fold to his demands, just to get him there..... or he likes hangin with all his new teammates so much that he stays in Lincoln..... Wishful thinking on my part, but we will see
