Stewart Mandel now has us playing our bowl game in 2007.

I don't see how this could happen. Cotton is for Big 12 #2. If we lose to UT, we'd still have like the 3rd best record and doesn't this go on record.

And, that is IF we lose to UT. They showed they are vulnerable when we played them before and then confirmed that they are vulnerable at KSU. I think the pundits are wrong giving UT the Big 12. If they are wrong (they picked UT to beat us handily and also for UT to pound KSU and a host of other mistakes this past weekend) then Huskers go to the Fiesta!

Tacos anyone?????????????

Who remembers who said that?

Actually, I think that the whole Big 12 #2, Big 12 #3 thing is about the order in which they get to choose who they want.

Fiesta Bowl gets the champ . . .

Cotton Bowl gets second choice . . .

Gator Bowl or whoever gets third choice . . .

And so on. If I'm wrong, someone call me out.

Based on that, it will probably depend on how badly we lose to decide whether or not the Cotton Bowl wants us. If we hang close, they'll probably take us. If we get waxed, the CB will probably choose Oklahoma instead.

But of course, I'm still holding out for the Fiesta Bowl. :)
