The regular season has gone by in a flash

It is already time for the big CU clash

On the field in Lincoln the war they will rage

But these programs are not on the same page

 

Colorado comes to town with a hitch in their step

Because a 2-9 season has damaged their rep

Gone are days of Salaam, Stewart and Westbrook

Before Friday comes the Buffs are already cooked

 

Dan Hawkins already knows his pending fate

He's asking for his job back at little Boise State

"They don't play defense like this out in the WAC

Coach in the Big 12?...I was smoking crack!"

 

Buff fans like to insult, jeer and snicker

They must not realize their best player's a kicker

The only points they score may come off his toe

But the Blackshirts are shooting for a big zero

 

For the last time in his career, Taylor takes the field

His arm, mind and heart refusing to yield

Responsible for turning the Option to West Coast

Of his legend for years Husker fans will surely boast

 

Though the air Zac will throw a farewell party

Invited are Swift, Nunn and maybe even Hardy

Those three among others will be in on the bash

But there's one main guy for which cameras will flash

 

Mo-Pur has come into a leage of his own

He runs, he catches...hell he's even thrown

It's a sure 6 when he gets thrown the big alley-oop

And he soars through the air like MJ to the hoop

 

Don't forget about the run game, it continues to pound

Leading the charge is B-Jax tearing up ground

Be it a handoff, swing pass or a quick pitch outside

Defenders attempt to tackle, but they shouldn't have tried

 

So finish your turkey and stuffing, Oh Husker fan

And don't overload on sleep from the Tryptophan

You've got to get up for the game on Friday

Tell the wife you've got plans and send her away

 

And to Buff fans who might be reading this

'Stomping the Fuskers' is simply a wish

Who would have known that you would want a revival

Of the times that you spent with ol' coach Neuheisal

 

"We aren't scared...does 62-36 ring a bell"?

Hanging onto the past, that's probably just as well

Because we all know this is no rivalry, it's true

For the Huskers the all-time series reads 45-17-2

 

Make sure your pee-bombs and snowballs are packed

Because your little Buffaloes are about to get waxed

I got chills while reading it. And started getting sad when it talked about Taylor's last game. Great stuff. Does anyone know if CMB23 does this for every game or just on occasion? I've only read this one and the USC one.

Thanks. I've sent in a couple before...but never got anything in. Oh well....as long as my loyal Huskerboarders get a kick out of it, I guess.

 

Fife, I've written a few here and there. Just haven't on a consistent basis. Remind me and I'll do one for the Big 12 Championship and bowl game.
