BIGREDIOWAN
So recently here in Iowa the news has turned to Iowa State University and their football program. Jamie Pollard the Athletic Director for ISU is NOT allowing people to purchase single game tickets. You either purchase season tickets or you don't get in the game!!! Now I realize that single game tickets will still get out there somehow, but I think this is a bonehead move for a university that is already having problems getting people to the games. What do you guys think??? Quote Link to comment
admo
Yah man, sounds kinda jacked up. Quote Link to comment
strigori
Buying single game tickets now or at all? I could see not letting single game tickets go till the season starts up, wanting to push some season tickets. Quote Link to comment
General Blackshirt
if ISU has less than 3 wins this season, they are done for a long time............ we can squash their fanbase by beating the crap outta them, if they have a bad year, theres no way their mediocre fans will stay loyal.......they are all bandwagon heres to the Big 11!!! adc7236
No matter how many ways I look to see what he is seeing by not selling single tickets....I can't see good reasons. What a bonehead! Quote Link to comment

He also stated that if people don't buy them they won't have a football program for too long. I mean a fanbase like ISU's is never going to support that many season tickets. Our fanbase could do it, but it still wouldn't make much sense. I think ISU should just downgrade to a IIA program myself. Quote Link to comment

Many cannot afford season tickets. The appearance might be that he is catering to the "well to do". I have a feeling we have not seen the last of this hot potato. His all or nothing plan is an act of desperation. Quote Link to comment

huskernumerouno
Is he an idiot or what, you notice he does this the year that we play them in Lincoln. Maybe he wants to make sure they have more fans at home then the opponets bring with them. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Well part of his reason is that he says everyone goes to only like the Iowa games and Husker games............probably because ISU sucks!!! Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
On the one hand I want a competitive Big XII so Nebraska has a stonger schedule and the national voters can see that. On the other hand I hate Iowa State greatly and hope this is the straw that starts them on a downward spiral. I'd have to go with let them crash and burn!!! Quote Link to comment
