Silent Commit
Finally, it is near reality. The Twins will have a new ballpark...outdoors. Looks wonderful. They even have a place for people without a ticket to watch batting practice. I'll definitely take a special trip to Minnesota once it is built just to watch the team play there. BIGREDIOWAN
Are the Vikings going to play there as well or is it going to be baseball only? Quote Link to comment
Husker B
So how many games are they planning on having snowed out Quote Link to comment
Silent Commit
Are the Vikings going to play there as well or is it going to be baseball only? Baseball only. ViQueens are trying to get their own stadium. As are the Gophers. Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
The Gophers has their own stadium passed. They will finally be out of the "inflatable toilet" and be back on campus. It might....MIGHT help with recruiting...they are still the Gophers. The Vikes are the only team that has not passed a new stadium. I hope they leave....they are a disgrace to MN right now. Maybe MN needs a new start with a new franchise??? It is going to be awesome to watch the Twins outside. They have been in the dump my entire life. My parents tell stories about going to the outdoor games when they were younger. April might be a little iffy, but I don't care, come June and July it is going to be great! Quote Link to comment

I remember watching the Gophers when they had the Brickhouse on campus. Why they tore it down and moved their games to the dome is beyond my comprehension. You need college football stadium ON CAMPUS to get the students excited. Watching the Twins in the dome was painful. Just a mockery of baseball IMO. The ViQueens need an outdoor stadium as well. The team hasn't displayed any grit since the days of Bud Grant. They are an awful team that will be worse this year. Regardless, they'll get their stadium because no metropolitian area wants to lose an NFL team. Quote Link to comment
AR Husker Fan
The dome for the Vikings always baffled me. When Grant was the coach and they played outdoors they had a tremendous advantage late in the season. They lost some toughness when they retreated to a hermetically sealed, temperature controlled environment... Quote Link to comment
Nicole
look at all the people in the pictures.....twins wish they had that many people going to their games.. GO YANKEES!! Quote Link to comment
Always a husker
My Iowa hs baseball team got to play a baseball game against another Iowa team in the metrodome after they whooped up on the cubs. I had 1 base hit, it was auwesome getting to play on that field and be in the same dugout the cubs were in an hour before. We also got to go in the vikings locker room... What a piece of s@#$ Nebraskas is 10 times better. Quote Link to comment
