2. West Virgina

3. Michigan

4. LSU

5. Arkansas

6. Auburn

7. Florida

8. Texas

9. Virginia Tech

10. Rutgers

Colt Brennan will throw for 17,000 yards and 525 TD's and NOBODY will care

OU will have at least 3 more NCAA infractions

Kirk Herbstreit and Mark May will declare this years USC team the greatest team in the history of the world and could easily defeat the 95 Husker team, all of the great 49er teams and the 1985 Chicago Bears team by a combined seven touchdowns (Oh and they will declare there love for each other in a spectacular, tender, passionate wedding ceremony in Connecticut)

and KU's Mark Mangino will successfully lose 250 pounds with the Beau Davis guide to weight management plan

Oh and Beano Cook will say something positive about Notre Dame.....

Here's my preseason Top 10 with comments about early games to watch out for. For Nebraska, we need to take care of business and can do some damage by beating USC and Texas. We want the SEC to beat up each other so we can move ahead. My fear is Big 10 is sort of cake this year and I expect Michigan or Wisconsin to possibly run the table...only to get pounded if they make title game. West Virginia is another team that may make it through that I don't want to see. If we don't beat USC, then I'd like to see USC vs. LSU or Florida for the title...heck either of those games would be awesome. I don't think Texas or OU is strong enough this year to take the title...plus we will be beating either or potentially both at some point this year! ;)

#1 USC - early test @Nebraska in Game 2

#2 LSU - vs. VA Tech in Game 2

#3 Florida - should be 4-0 before going vs. Auburn and @LSU in back to back weeks.

#4 Michigan - early home tests vs. Oregon and Notre Dame but then should cruise until @Wisconsin and vs. Ohio St. at end of schedule.

#5 Texas - non-conference schedule is cake...should be 5-0 when they play OU.

#6 Wisconsin - may go unscathed until @Ohio St. and vs. Michigan in November.

#7 West Virginia - @Rutgers and vs. Louisville likely will be games that decide their fate...should run table on rest of their schedule...one loss to anyone else on their schedule and they are likely out of it for title.

#8 Cal - Game 1 vs Tennessee will catapult their season or start it in a major hole.

#9 VA Tech - @LSU in Game 2

#10 Oklahoma - interesting Game 2 vs. Miami but should be 5-0 when they meet Texas.

No offense, but how can Nebraska be 10th or higher with both USC and Texas ahead of them? I highly doubt a 2 loss NU team will be in the top 10. If NU knocks off one or both, then I highly doubt they're #2 and #3 respectively.

Here's my top 10:

LSU - I think they might just have the talent to make it through the SEC

Michigan - veteran QB leading them to the title game.

USC - I think they'll lay at least one egg along the way.

West Virginia - they'll be solid, but I don't think they'll be rewarded with a title game appearance

Texas - Colt McCoy will be solid this year, but I think they'll lose at least one game.

Virginia Tech - defense should be particularly strong this year

Florida - Tebow will really see what college football is all about this year

OU - ? at QB, but the rest of the team will be solid

Tennessee - veteran QB

Cal - they should be good this year, but then again I believe they were preseason #5 last year

Are you kidding? You cannot be serious? This is ridiculous!!!! Ole Miss at 9? That is easily a top 5 team. This list is stupid!!!

I agree. I believe Ole Miss will destroy LSU in a grudge match, and be catipulted into the top five!

No offense taken. A simple explanation should suffice:

Half the teams in the top ten will have two losses nearly every year, sometimes a couple of teams have three losses. Last year’s AP top ten had five 2-loss teams, including LSU at #2 and USC at #3. I would guess that UT, USC and NU will each have a loss or two by the final poll. Got it?

Well I am still a little upset that Akron and Wyoming didn't crack your top 10, but I guess that would be alright.....
