husker rob
just wanted to share this experience that my Niece and her Boyfriend had on Saturday at the Ball St game, and it is a good lesson for all who buy tickets in Lincoln on game day. 6 of us went to Lincoln together on Saturday morning with 4 tickets in hand, knowing that we would have to buy 2 when we got to Lincoln. on getting to Lincoln, my Niece and her Boyfriend found a guy that was selling tickets, but they were not the "Color Photo" tickets they were they "Gray" reprint tickets. They were assured that the tickets were good and they decided to buy them. After mulling around the stadium, shopping and checking out everything we all decided to get to our seats. After reaching our seats and getting settled in for the pre-game, I got a call from my niece saying that the season ticket holders showed up with the original tickets, and wondered what she should do, because they said that she was going to have to move from the seats. I told her to go up to one of the ushers and ask them. They sent her and her boyfriend over to the ticket office and ask them. At the ticket office they were told that the Season Ticket Holder had reported these tickets stolen and that was why the reprints were sent out ant that the reprint tickets over rode the originals. They were sent back to their seats with an escort from a NE Highway Patrolman, and a Lincoln PD, and the people with the "Original" tickets were taken away for questioning. So, if you buy a "Reprinted" ticket, feel secure that you are not getting screwed. However if you buy an "Original" ticket and someone shows up with a "Reprint" you are screwed. Quote Link to comment
no_name_needed_2001
Good to know. I feel bad for those people with the regular tickets because they likely bought them from a scalper...the one who originally stole it probably wouldn't use them. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
WOW what a screwed up situation, but thanks for the info. Quote Link to comment

cmb23
I guess the moral of that story is, regardless of what kind of ticket you buy, original/reprint/stolen....there will always be an open seat nearby when Ball State comes to town. Quote Link to comment

Enough that we (my wife and I had 2 seats). But in the second quarter, her sister and her husband, and 4 of our friends all came and we were able to sit together. Quote Link to comment

huskerdude171
Who would buy a non color husker ticket? Come on there were plenty of tickets for sale against Ball State, its not like we even thought that game would be close. Quote Link to comment

FYI, the non-color, "REPRINTS" were the good tickets and the ones that were honored. The color tickets "ORIGINALS" were reported stolen and were voided when the reprints were sent out. the next time i buy tickets and i have a choice of reprints or color tickets, i will choose the reprints every time.
