chamrocck
Player: Randall Dent Hometown: Grand Prairie, TX Position: DL Height: 6'4" Weight: 256 lbs. 40 time: 4.9 Visit Date: Scholarships offered: Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Oregon, Minnesota Favorites: Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Big Red Report: Assessing the talent: From ESPN Evaluation: Dent is a big kid. He will play some defensive end and defensive tackle at the high school level, but will need to slide down inside and be an interior lineman at the college level. He has an adequate get-off. He will flash some solid quickness and when he can get on the shoulder of a blocker he can push his way into the backfield and be disruptive. He will bring his hands and work to keep separation. More here: http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/...26season%3d2009 Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 20%. We are recruiting him hard but he is known to be looking for LSU and Texas to offer but to this point neither has. Quote Link to comment
Danimal
Hopefully we can get to a place where we don't have to sweat who else offers the prospects so much. I think we are fairly safe in terms of Texas, they are fairly full and have four d-linemen already committed. LSU is a tougher call, they have openings but have other offers on the table and being LSU have the ability to close on those offers. I think we have a solid shot at Dent. Like with a fair amount of other D-recruits I think it will depend some on what we show this season. Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
would love to see this kid in scarlet and cream...but it's always a challenge pulling kids out of Texas..sounds like he's waiting for Texas and LSU to offer Quote Link to comment
DeathCultArmaggedon
Both Texas and LSU are pretty full and probably won't have room for him. Quote Link to comment

Dent is a force at defensive end and has offers from a number of schools. Insiders tell us he's waiting on an offer from LSU but if that fails to materialize he will likely commit to Nebraska. Of the 20 players on this list SEVEN have nebraska in consideration, and Chris Williams has commited. Of the other 7, we have a good shot at 4 of them. And I'm still hoping McFarland takes another look as well. This could end up turning into one hell of a class come signing day! Quote Link to comment

He should re-consider his offer from NU... just sayin if he wants to win a big 12 championship. Quote Link to comment
