HuskerRob
Will Yancy? I'd see what he can do before buring Josh Williams' redshit why rush into burning a redshirt when we have other capable players at the same position? wouldn't you want Niles Paul to be a 2nd year freshman instead of a Soph? HUSKER 37
Barry Turner is telling teammates on the NU sideline that his injury is a fracture and that he's out for the year. The senior defensive end left the game in the first quarter. He's sitting on the bench with a boot on the lower portion of his left leg. Turner, a senior in his second season as a starter, is eligible for a medical redshirt this year. Looks like Pierre Allen, who has played well today, just got a lot more important to the Nebraska defense. http://omaha.com/index.php?u_page=3918&u_sid=10396039 Let's hope Pierre Allen keeps playing like he did today. BIGREDIOWAN
That really sucks and I hope he recovers from this without issues. The younger guys really need to step up now to fill these shoes. Quote Link to comment

blackshirtsfaninmiami
I feel terrible for the guy. Pelini said he'd been making great strides and he played very well last week. Hopefully he can fully recover and maybe get a med redshirt for next year. Just sucks that it happened on a freak play like this. Quote Link to comment
benjibean1
Well i think that it is the only player that Asante has hit all year long. Too bad it had to be his teammate. Quote Link to comment

Huskerballz
While this is horrible, Turner is eligible for a medical redshirt, he'll rehab, get stronger and faster and then we'll have that added senior leadership on the Dline that we would be losing. I think this could be a blessing in disguise. Quote Link to comment
