NU Problems and Woes

Recommended Posts

Pretty sure that any/all major & successful programs have their share of injuries, incidents and thugs. My question is why so many people put Nebraska on an island of college football that they don't think can exist anywhere else in the country.

Texas loses starting lineman for racist comments posted online

Oklahoma loses starting QB for selling cars

Florida State has players suspended for taking shoes/clothes

So to answer your question...yes, it happens everywhere.

What?

You didn't hear about Bomar last year? He and another projected starter were collecting big paychecks from a local car dealer for working minimal hours.

It happens everywhere. It really, truly does. It doesn't sound like you are too in touch with what's going on at other schools.

To the same point the other player removed from the Sooners with Bomar for that situation, JD Quinn, has gotten two DUI's since he enrolled at the University of Montana two years ago. And other Montana Grizzlies have been arrested for breaking and entering, kidnapping, and a situation where three football players beat the crap out of a freshman on campus. So it happens to small schools in small communities too.

Be glad you're not an Iowa fan...or at least not the "husband" or "girlfriend" of an Iowa fan....even their spectators are disgusting....

While the Hawkeyes were stomping the Gophers on the Metrodome field last weekend, police say two Iowa fans were having a romp of a different kind in a restroom.

Both events, police say, had their share of cheering fans.

A 38-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man from Carroll and Linden, Iowa, respectively, turned to a handicapped stall for their tryst Saturday evening.

On the field, the Hawkeyes were on their way to 55-0 trouncing of the Gophers. In the restroom, a crowd of intoxicated fans gathered to cheer the off-the-field event.

Eventually, a security guard tipped off University of Minnesota police. Officers had to interrupt the couple to cite them for indecent conduct, a misdemeanor.

Police Chief Greg Hestness says the woman initially gave a false name to officers. She was released to her husband and the man was released to his girlfriend.

Both people in the stall were intoxicated.
