Ohio Pete
The only one I have seen mentioned is Scott Criss, Creighton Prep Offensive Tackle. Since his "troubles" and removal of his offer, I've pegged Vondrae Tostenson as a possibly walkon candidate, too, but right now Rivals shows an Iowa offer. I'd guess that would be hard to turn down. Anyone know of other potential walkon candidates? Ron Kellogg Jr.? Greg Hardin? Quote Link to comment
father5
I'd heard a FB from Millard South, Drew Neville, was working towards an invite and the coaches had shown interest back during the summer camps. Quote Link to comment
Deafy1289
Pretty sure Ron is going to walk on, I know him sort of. Quote Link to comment
redout22
Vondrae Tostenson has a lot of potential so that would be great if we got him but i think he will go to iowa Quote Link to comment
westernhskr
I have heard they asked a kid out of alliance to walk on. last name of nickens-6' 7" 270 pound tackle Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
Vondrae doesn't have the grades. Screwed up too early in his HS career to fix it. Quote Link to comment
BiggerRed
At one point in time, I heard Ty Kildow was interested in walking on. If he hadn't broken his leg last year, I really think that he might have worked his way into a scholarship offer. Quote Link to comment
father5
I'm pretty sure Kildow will play somewhere. If he were allowed to walk on at NU he would be primarily a returner. The kid has blazing speed, 4.39 at the Husker cam last summer right before he tore his ACL (not a broken leg). The thing about Ty also is his quick feet. Some guys are fast but not quick and some guys are quick but not fast. He's both... at least before the injury. Quick plus fast = a recipe for a really productive player. He lacks size but look at Sproles. Either way, he's also an excellent baseball player so perhaps he can do both like Erstad. Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
Scott Criss decided against walking on for Nebraska according to ESPN: Omaha lineman to play in Laramie Scott Criss of Creighton Prep (Omaha, Neb.), recruited as an offensive lineman, has committed to a scholarship offer from the Wyoming Cowboys. Criss was sought as a walk-on by Nebrasa. Quote Link to comment

Prior to that the speedster had registered the fastest 40-yard dash time of the entire camp with his 4.39. Quote Link to comment

Danimal
Kildow is a hell of a get, he is an excellent athlete. Sounds bad but his knee-injury was a real blessing to us, if he'd played he'd have gotten some 1A offers, 5'7" or not. He could be a very dangerous return guy and slot/scatback for us.
