dbetz23 Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Nebraska football season ticket holders will see a small increase in the cost per game of tickets for the 2009 home schedule, and ticket holders will also see numerous improvements in fan amenities at Memorial Stadium for the 2009 campaign. Season ticket holders will pay $54 per ticket for seven home games in 2009 ($378 total). In 2008, Nebraska season ticket holders paid $416 for a season ticket for eight games, or $52 per ticket. For the seventh consecutive year, Nebraska students will not see an increase in their season ticket prices. UNL students will pay a total of $147 for seven games, or $21 per game, and UNL faculty and staff will pay $51 per game ($357 total). Cornhusker season ticket holders will see improvements in the fan experience when they arrive at Memorial Stadium this fall. Two new HuskerVision replay boards will be added on the northwest and northeast towers. The screens are the same size as those on the south towers, measuring 21 high and 24’ wide. The addition will give Memorial Stadium five replay boards and allow nearly every fan a clear view of a HuskerVision screen. Additionally, HuskerVision will be upgraded to a high-definition format during the summer, further enhancing one of college football's best in-game video presentations. The HuskerVision upgrades, totaling more than $3 million, are partially funded by the University's contract with IMG, and were approved by the Nebraska Board of Regents at its January meeting. Our fans should really enjoy the new features planned for Memorial Stadium,” Nebraska Athletic Director Tom Osborne said. “We have heard from fans who were concerned about not having a clear view of the replay screens and we have addressed that. The high-definition format will really add to what HuskerVision does, and we expect that we will also add ribbon boards to the façade of the East and West balconies for the 2009 season.” Nebraska’s 2009 non-conference schedule includes games against Florida Atlantic (Sept. 5), Arkansas State (Sept. 12) and Louisiana-Lafayette (Sept. 26). The Louisiana-Lafayette contest is expected to be the 300th consecutive sellout at Memorial Stadium. The Huskers’ Big 12 home schedule includes visits from defending Big 12 Champion Oklahoma (Nov. 7), Texas Tech (Oct. 17), Iowa State (Oct. 24) and Kansas State (Nov. 21). Fans that renew during that early period are eligible for prizes, including a pair of tickets to the Nebraska-Oklahoma game. Fans that pay through eCheck during this period will also receive a $15 discount on handling charges. · Tickets for Nebraska’s April 18 Red-White Spring Game continue to be on sale at Huskers.com, but calling 1-800-8-BIG RED or 402-472-3111, and in person at the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office. As of Thursday, approximately 65,000 advance ticket sales have been sold for the game. Kickoff on April 18 is set for 1 p.m. · In addition to the 300th consecutive sellout, the Sept. 26 game against Louisiana-Lafayette will be Nebraska’s Homecoming contest. · The Sept. 5 home opener is the latest for Nebraska since opening its 1999 home schedule on Sept. 11. · Nebraska’s matchups with Florida Atlantic, Arkansas State and Louisiana-Lafayette will be the Huskers' first-ever meeting with each of those schools, all from the Sun Belt Conference. · Nebraska faces three bowl teams at home—Florida Atlantic (Motor City), Texas Tech (Cotton) and Oklahoma (BCS National Championship Game). Overall Nebraska faces six bowl teams including road contests at Virginia Tech (Orange), Missouri (Alamo) and Kansas (Insight). Quote Link to comment

I know Qwest Center has them as well as every NBA arena. Here is an example. Pretty cool, but I bet its mostly advertising stuff on them. I am happy they are getting more replay boards, that is worth the price hike! Make it louder!!!! , or at least make it in sync with the video. This is probably an impossible task with the current sound system.
