Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
I didn't see much talk of him and I don't know why I felt this deserved it's own thread, but I just wanted to say this: Holy crap, he's fast! Quote Link to comment
newenglandhusker
I talked at great length with my brother about the game today. He brought this up and said it looked like he wasn't even trying to run that fast, that he just outran the defender that had the angle. Pretty good, if you ask me. Quote Link to comment
Husker Richard
I almost made a thread about him when i got back from the spring game yesterday. The kid has unreal speed for a TE. He is easily as fast as a running back. Dude outran the whole D, even when they had an angle. I could see him playing in the slot similar to what we are doing with mendoza. He just doesn't seem big enough to play TE. Why waste his speed bulking him up to block when we could utilize him much more in the passing game? Quote Link to comment
Huskers Forever
I wish they would have left him at LB. The word was he was flat out dominating when they had him there. But it is nice to have a great athlete like him on O as well. Quote Link to comment

He could be like LaTravis Washington and just not have the mentality for defense in college. He will find his way on the field as the TE he is. When they need TE's to block they will put those guys in when they wanna pass they can switch in different guys. Quote Link to comment

Enhance
Less run run more block block Quote Link to comment
Danimal
Word is both sides of the ball wanted him but he chose O. We are going to be LOADED at TE with McNeil, Young, Cotton, Reed, plus that McClure kid who is supposed to be a hell of a sleeper. I'd like to see us move guys around and split them out like Mizzou did when they had Rucker and Coffman. Quote Link to comment
RedNLeader
I was at the game and when everyone in my section saw him take off everyone was just amazed! Quote Link to comment
KansasHusker
Sounds like he has some wheels for a bigger guy. I hope we can find multiple ways to get him involved and I'm sure we will. Gotta love them Kansas boys playing for the Big Red... Quote Link to comment
RedNLeader
It says in the program that Kyler Reed is 6-3 and 225lb RFr. Maybe he can fill in some at wideout also. Quote Link to comment
