Danimal
Out of the guys that actually signed a LOI all will qualify and be here this summer. I was disappointed that Byrd didn't try longer to qualify but I guess it just wasn't happening, considering we got three other cb's I'm guessing the coaches saw it coming. Nice to see that the doubters saying we would have all these academic casualties were wrong. Props to Williams, Robinson, Anrah, and Martin for finishing strong. Quote Link to comment

Think Washington was the biggest worry, but it's good news. First time thats happened in a while. Quote Link to comment
Danimal
My bad, meant Washington not Williams. Also, I guess Martin has summer school to complete. But he should be here. Quote Link to comment
huzkerbob
I personally concerned with the fact that NU's recent number of "near misses" seems to be off the charts right now. I know there are always a few guys in each class that cut it close when it comes to qualifyng, but recently those numbers have just skyrocketed! And sadly they are some of our more "promising" recruits. I can't wait until NU is back in the position to not have to rely on these borderline qualifiers to fill the rosters. That way more deserving students (esp. those in-state) can be accepted. Because whether FB fans like it or not, this system is still supposed to be designed for the STUDENT athletes. Not just the athletes! Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
I am sure that NU is not the only ones having issues with some of their recruits not being up to snuff academically. Quote Link to comment

Not just the athletes! This is nothing new. Are you old enough to remember before Nebraska joined the Big XII that Nebraska had multiple Prop 48 players in each recruiting class? Danimal
Eric Martin has gotten his ACT back. His score is good enough that the summer-class he's taken will be enough to qualify. He'll be here in July. Good job Eric. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
The "No way these guys make it" cry was a total BCer rally cry. That used to bother me soooo much. Quote Link to comment
huskertim
Wow! Everyone of these kids qualified, and this is a big class. That is impressive (not to mention lucky). Quote Link to comment
