Silent Commit
As a long time Vikings fan, I don't know what to think of this. On one hand, the Vikings are getting a quarterback that they desperately needed. His presence should stop defenses from putting 8 or 9 men in the box, which would make the Vikings running game (AD) that much more potent. The Vikings receivers are actually pretty good. Rosenfels and Jackson, though, aren't capable of getting the balls into their hands consistently. There is no doubt that the Vikings are a much better team - TALENT-WISE - with Favre than without him. On the other hand, the Vikings have signed (or will sign) an aging-prima donna-gunslinger who has been selfish (won't sign earlier to avoid training camp) and a distraction (according to Jet players). i'm not sure if Bret could even make it through 16 games without getting injured. But, the game in Green Bay this year, with Favre playing, will be the highest viewed NFL game next to the Super Bowl..... Quote Link to comment
huzkerbob
ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just make a decision and stick with it ya crusty old bastard! Quote Link to comment
Apathy
This may sound weird but as a Chicago Bears fan I'm glad to see Brett Farve come back even though its with the Vikings. I'm a huge Brett Farve fan and I am excited about to watch him play again. Quote Link to comment
holvy83
i don't care if he plays at all, it would be good for the Viking no doubt, but this has dragged on enough Quote Link to comment
sdhusker82
wonder where he'll be next year.... Quote Link to comment
Fuzzy
Tis a sad day in the NFL, i think ive lost all faith that someone will finally tell Farve to go screw himself and either retire or sit on the free agent list. Anyone want to vote Farve for the Worst NFL Duechebag Award? The only way he is gonna stop playing is a career ending injury, me thinks. Anyone have a saw? We can probably saw off his hand or something. Quote Link to comment
Overland Park Husker
Bernard Pollard from the Chiefs will roll into him this Friday then this stupid soap opera will come to an end. Favre just couldn't get by with out being in the head lines. Quote Link to comment
LouisianaHuskerFan
I'm a big Vikings fan and I hate this. Can't stand Favre. He is such a cancer in the locker room. He is so selfish and doesn't care about the team no matter what he says. I'm so mad that Tavaris got hurt. No way Favre would be playing for the Vikes if he didn't get hurt. Errrrrr. Will definitely be rooting for Green Bay when they play. Quote Link to comment
holvy83
all things aside, i think it is a good move for the Vikings, now Jackson and "Cy" Rosenfels can learn from one of the best QB's of our generation. If anything it should put some of Jackson's ego on hold until he can actually learn to perform at a high level in the NFL. And yes, much anticipating the Green Bay match up and what kind of production that will be Quote Link to comment
walksalone
Nobody cares... Let him show all his "heart" while playing with his f'd up arm, and lead the Vikes to disappointment... Quote Link to comment
redout22
Wow how many times has he retired now? Quote Link to comment

HUSKER 37
I laughed out loud when I heard about this on the radio at work this morning...Plus it was fun being able to break the news to the resident Vikings fan and Packers fan at work. I don't usually follow the NFL much, but was glad to see him try another comeback. I AM, however really really tired of people bitching about him unretiring or skipping training camp. That, and still having at least one channel showing Michael Jackson related crap every night. Quote Link to comment
