Hingle McCringleberry
Think it was a fun game, some things to work on, but I really think we are moving in the right direction. FAU played there hearts out... I think tonight has really put some confidence in our guys, every step helps..... GBR Quote Link to comment
husk3rf8n
Best things about this game is the win big AND Pelini will have plenty of things to show 'em they still need to work on! Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
They definitely started flat that's for sure. But overall, I was impressed with the agressiveness of the defense. Big improvement even over last year IMO. Still some things to work on but I thought they did pretty well Quote Link to comment
MCAT800
One big difference between this staff and the last is even after a big blow out they still coach up the kids on what they did wrong. Quote Link to comment

missouri_husker24
One thing that I noticed right away was the bone crushing hits. Asante had one, Thenarse had one that caused a fumble, and even Eric Martin laid the wood. Overall I saw good form tackling. Quote Link to comment

Hopefully we are getting over Cosgrove's horrible teaching and the poor tackling that went along with it. I agree it sounded like we started flat, but man once we got going it was like "SEE YA!!!!" We have some playmakers and that's something we haven't seen in quite awhile. Quote Link to comment
Hingle McCringleberry
Haven't seem a third quarter roll like that in a long time, everything clicked together. 2 years ago we would of won (maybe), last year it would of been a 7-10 point game. All around a good sign we are heading in the right direction Quote Link to comment
OmahaPlaya
I listened to the game via radio and from what it sounds like things were good but yes things still need to be ironed out. Quote Link to comment

There are multiple redshirts surrounding the ball. Our LB's are going to be great IMO. That hit by Eric Martin was huge! Quote Link to comment

Compton had a crushing hit early in the game which was a fumble, but the refs blew the whistle. Compton looked pretty good for a first start. Quote Link to comment

Hopefully Bo won't harp over that flag because it really was a clean hit. Come to think of it, Crick's personal foul on the QB was iffy also. Quote Link to comment

Yeah that was a crappy call on Martin's hit as well as Crick. That personal foul cost O'Hanlon an pick if I remember right. Quote Link to comment

Yes it did, and it was a great pick also (one-handed over the shoulder for those who didn't see) Quote Link to comment
