In the Deed the Glory
When the preseason ranking came out the first thing I said was "Virginia Tech is severely overrated." they are not top 10 material, maybe not even top 15, so I think Nebraska will be able to at least hold their own and not get embarrassed ... if not win. I'll be rooting for the Huskers this weekend. Talk about overrated!Clemson and Miami has already shown the most overrated team in the ACC! What is it with you guys and taking cheap shots at GT ... pretty sure they are not the opponent this week? Some kind of inferiority complex since NU has been down for some time now??? I was actually trying to provide insight since I am pretty sure I am more familiar with VT because they are in the ACC. Don't be so quick to open your mouth, you don't know who will be exposed tomorrow. Dude, with a name like lunch pail I would imagine that is a Hokie fan....just sayin'! Quote Link to comment

Just guessing that the poster with 8 post to his credit is probably an V Tech fan, and making fun of G tech is his way of humor. Quote Link to comment

But the poster wasnt a regular and I doubt he is a Nebraska fan. While they struggled against Miami, I dont think their season is done. A lot of Husker fans wanted Paul Johnson as our coach, so that says something. Quote Link to comment

If there would be one school who wouldn't think it is a "high school" offense it would be you guys since the great teams of the 90's curb stomped everyone in their way with it. It is the Willies and Joes not the X's and O's that win championships! Did you go to GT for grad school or what? Quote Link to comment
omahadude
I hope I'm wrong but I think that a lot of Husker fans are putting too much faith and confidence into winning this game. We all want to win but realistically this is a QB making his first road start at a loud stadium. Obviously his adrenaline will be puming hard (also because of TV), which could possibly lead to early mistakes that could doom us, reminiscent of last year when we went down 9-0 pretty fast. Its the feeling I get before Husker games like this in recent era that show how far we have come. Obviously we haven't done well in those games and haven't been the same Negraska since the 2001 CU game. This win could set us up to come back from that loss, Pelini leading the Huskers to a great season and career for him. This pressure is a lot for the team to handle and especially in a road environment. I predict the Huskers are going to play VaTech really tough but lose ia close one. I want to believe that we can hang with top teams on the road but its up to what the Huskers do on the field to make me believe that. We haven't had a BIG win since 01 Oklahoma. I pray that this is a turning point for the Huskers, but it is smart to not put so much faith in a pretty untested team. AND YOU SIR, ARE A TROLL!!!!! Quote Link to comment

I think GT is on its way, it will take a couple years to get the type of players for that system. They should be fun to watch. I went to a college (middle georgia tech) that worked with Georgia Tech, but wasnt necessary part of Georgia Tech. Quote Link to comment
SwiftFan87
I go into each game thinking we will win. Quote Link to comment

BigRedNV
I'm about ready to pass out dresses to today's crop of "Husker fans." Good lord, have some faith. I'll pick up the pink panties to match! For the love of god people, it's a game against a 1-1 team! The doubt obviously comes from losing all the big ones in the last several years, but it's not like we're playing the #1 team in the nation. ESPN folk actually have us winning the game, yet many of you are still standing on the fence. Have faith and go with the Big Red 'cuz win or lose they are still the Best Show on Earth (or at least in Nebraska). GBR!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment

Are the odds against us? Probably. Do I have ANY doubt that Suh has been waiting a whole year for this day? Not at all. Go Big Red and have some faith. A football can bounce either way. nemajordude
We don't know anything about this team yet. We will today. They are very young, but they are talented and very well coached. I think Lee is a natural leader and he will play with poise. The DL (ends in particular) have the ability to take the defense on their shoulders. I am optimistic. We shall see. And what does it matter if, as a fan, I am optimistic or not. If I were in the stands yelling my arse off I might have the ability to influence the game. From my basement, my optimism or pessimism will have no bearing on the game whatsoever. So let me be optimistic. Please. Quote Link to comment
