HANC
As someone mentioned in another thread, Helu seemed to be holding his shoulder low as he left the field once he scored the last touchdown. Watching the highlights on the local Omaha news just now, I could really see him favoring the shoulder. And, at the post-game press conference, he had his right shoulder covered up with a jacket, obviously "intentionally", as the jacket was just hanging on his right shoulder and not on his left. Anyone with some insight or inside info on how bad he is hurt. He finally looks healthy and now he seemed to get hurt again. NU needs him completely heatlthy. Quote Link to comment
caveman99
Yeah I noticed that also. If he is wearing a green jersey again this week we will know for sure. Quote Link to comment
np_husker
I sure hope he isn't hurt. We are a much better team with a healthy Helu. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I think the shoulder injury is going to be recurring through the rest of the season, just like Dennard's. It gets banged up and it gets sore. Nothing they can do about it. According to Sipple on the LJS during this week's chat, Roy won't require surgery after the season, but he's still going to be dealing with the injury until he rests it in the offseason. One thing to note - Helu was shaking hands with the KU players with his right hand after the game. That's positive. Quote Link to comment
funkybuncha
Just had the post game interviews on FOX42, Helu had his shoulder covered with something and looked like he had it possibly wrapped or on ice........ I agree with Knappic, it looks like this will be a recurring the rest of the season......... Quote Link to comment

That's positive. yes he hurt his shoulder. Not as serious as before though, just like a pitcher after a complete game, he was wearing an ice-pack on his shoulder after the game. Don't expect the green jersey this week though. Quote Link to comment
JTrain
He didn't score on that play, FWIW. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
He didn't score on that play, FWIW. I didn't think so either. But as Pat Jones and others say, if the ref raises his arms its a score. Quote Link to comment

Which play, the final TD? I think the ball broke the plane. If not, he was down on the one inch line. Quote Link to comment
JTrain
The final TD. It didn't matter one way or the other in terms of winning the game. If it gets called right we probably just kneel it and win 24-17. It was a few inches short as his forearm touched the turf right before the goalline. Quote Link to comment
WCHusker
It's never healed-he's been a freakin gimp up until this week. Nice day for him to bust one-he won the game. Quote Link to comment
