HuskerTony
Well, I'm not sure if this has been reported here yet. But, I've just learned that Steve Kriewald has been signed to a 2-year contract with Tampa Bay after a 2-week camp there which he attended. Found this article at PewterReport.com http://www.pewterreport.com/article.asp?ac...=1609&category= -tK (sorry if this has been posted before) Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt
Awesome, thanks for sharing HuskerTony. That should be a great opp for Krie to learn from one of the games best in Mike Alstott. Quote Link to comment
Huskerfan66
Way to go Steve...he will be a valuable backup if Alstott gets hurt barreling over people Represent them Huskers! Quote Link to comment
BigRedJake
He'll probably start. Alstott is still a good receiving FB, but he can't run it up the middle like he used to. He's just getting old and injured, way past his prime. Quote Link to comment
KansasHusker
great news, but is this a legit signing? I mean is he really going to make the roster, or is this just keeping him around to see what he's got? Quote Link to comment
DJR313
great news, but is this a legit signing? I mean is he really going to make the roster, or is this just keeping him around to see what he's got? Who knows? Most teams won't carry 3 fullbacks, so he might have to unseat the current #2 fullback or its off to the practice squad. Quote Link to comment
Pedro Guerrero
He was released. It was in the OWH today. Maybe he can catch on with someone else. Quote Link to comment
TheKiD
Thanks for the update, that sucks. Ah well.. not sure he'll go anywhere else.. from what I heard he went to the bucs camp just for fun, not expecting anything, and was quite suprised when they signed him. Doesn't seem like he's really pursuing an NFL career.. but who knows. Quote Link to comment
BigRedJake
Good luck to him in whatever he ends up doing then. I just can't believe they're sticking with Alstott. There's no gas left in that tank. Quote Link to comment
TheKiD
They also have Jameel Cook and Rick Razzano, Kriewald would have been 4th on the depth-chart at fullback. Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
I hope someone picks him up. He could be a good lead blocker and come out of the backfield. Maybe be a little like Jim Kleinsasser?? Quote Link to comment
Benard
read article that he was really doing well, sad to see him get cut. If I was a team I would pick him up. Quote Link to comment
kc_husker
Just dont go to the Broncos. Right Jake. Quote Link to comment
BigRedJake
Just dont go to the Broncos. Right Jake. Honestly, if it weren't already so late I'd love to have him on the Broncs. We could definately use a big bulky fullback. Kyle Johnson is a decent runner with great hands but he struggles sometimes with pass blocking and Cecil Sapp is a converted HB. Quote Link to comment
