redout22
Nice to see them get rewarded for a good year. Maybe even a bigger raise will come next year. Quote Link to comment
kansas husker
Let's hope it does put the rumors to bed. I think all the raises are well deserved. For anyone who is going to bash the small raise that wats got let's break it down 5k per year = a 1.33% raise or 2.40 per hour (if he puts in a 40 hour week. Since he more than likely puts in more than that it is even less.) Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
little bit of an insult to Wats....but then his boyz didn't produce either.....at least he didn't get a cut in wages! Quote Link to comment
kansas husker
Wait so untill this raise carl was paid the same as the assistants. (208,360) way under paid. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
UNTIL THIS YEAR....... Watson was doing a great job with the offense, he had earned his money. The offense was producing ON THE FIELD. Carl's defense was not even close to what it was this year, so technically until the 09 season ended, Carl had not exactly earned much of a raise, the reason Watson's was so small, cuz he didnt get the job done this year. Was Carl underpaid? Yes IN HINESIGHT. Not to mention Bo has as much if not more control of the defense as Carl. 2 Quote Link to comment
Pasadena Husker
all of those salaries are pretty good scratch for a couple of guys living in lincoln, nebraska. i'm sure watson looks at this like a slap (not undeservedly) and am sure he will begin to look for another position. i was also surprised that cotton received such a substantial raise. i was figuring (and secretly hoping) he would have gotten the shaft. his direct reports under achieved in 2003 as well as these last two years, IMO. GoBigRed7228
Nice to see Sanders get a sizeable raise. He did a spectacular job with the secondary this year. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Not an insult to Wats - he was already the highest paid by pretty far, look how much his salary outstripped the DC's. Now the DC got a huge raise but Wats still got bumped up a little. Quote Link to comment
HuskerTrucker
Watson got about what his offense this year was worth...along with Cotton, as far as I am concerned. If they can come back next season and get the O-line back to being a force to be reckoned with, and the offense get back to being one of the top offenses in the country, then they can get a raise next year. From the numbers that the offense put out this year, they are lucky that they didn't have to give back money. If they come back next year and give us what we got this last season, I would imagine that they might both be looking for a new job. Quote Link to comment

WCHusker
When you can put a defense on the field that is as good as ours was this year, you can nail all the boosters' relatives that you want. The Bobfather is giggling right now. Quote Link to comment

The Bobfather is giggling right now. Now *that* is funny! And probably true. The most surprising thing about the article, for me anyway, is that Danny Hawkins is the lowest paid B12 HC at $1.0M. I would have guessed CU to be up around NU in pay scale, just behind the oil money crowd. Losers. Quote Link to comment
