knapplc
That would make sense. There won't be any Big12 to play in next year. Quote Link to comment

Mrstickball
Would be a dream come true if NU does join the B10 for official conference play in 2011. We may see NU and OSU in the conference championship as a final sendoff for Terrelle Pryor. That would be EPIC! Quote Link to comment

By dropping the title game, creating tv networks and some form of revenue sharing. Oh and all future games will now be 59:59 instead of 60 minutes (that's a joke). A couple comments the form of questions: So who broke up the conference? Well at this point - nobody. In the end - the ultimatum, the finger pointing, etc. was just the usual bluster and intimidation. Apologies are in order but I know how things work. So has learned to play nice Texas? Or did KU, KSU, MU and ISU all grovel enough? Quote Link to comment

Read: "I need to be where I can get my way most or all of the time". Quote Link to comment
ticks
Houston Astros owner Drayton McLane Jr., a prominent Baylor alum, told Orangebloods.com Sunday that officials will live to regret killing off prized tradition in Texas college athletics by moving too quickly. "The rivalries between Texas, Texas A&M and Baylor have lasted more than 100 years," McLane said. "Those are treasured assets in this state. And to see them broken up and discarded would be a travesty. "Sometimes we make decisions faster than we should. I would like to encourage the universities to see the issues as they are, the tradition. To wipe out over 100 years of tradition and go start playing on the west or east coast, that just doesn't fit what this state is all about." They could invite Rice, TCU, SMU, and Houston. Those are the teams that got left out in the cold when four schools made business decisions to bolt for the Big 12. I guess tradition meant a lot less 15 years ago. Quote Link to comment
wildman
I watched the board of regents meeting that was televised last Friday. I was shocked but excited when Mr. Pearlman requested to join Big 10 in 2011 athletically and 2010 academically. Which the board did approve. Went to huskers.com today and 2011-2012 football schedule has been taken down other than a couple OOC games. Quote Link to comment
