This may be getting ahead of myself...since we have to get Starling to sign a letter and come to Nebraska and all that, but will he be able to both pitch and play quarterback. Those are two high pressure positions. Plus Watson has a system chalk full of complications. Plus Anderson needs to save his job.

 

Then there's there ware and tear on the arm. How would this be managed?

 

Also, does anyone know of a pitching motion helps a football throwing motion or does it hurt it?

You are. Lets wait till he turns down millions to sign on the dotted line to play at NU for nothing.

If he comes and plays both sports at NU, it's likely he'll be in the outfield and not on the mound. His stock is higher as an outfielder than it is as a pitcher in the majors so that's probably where he'll focus his efforts.

Yeah, this is way premature. Let's let the guy sign first and commit to two sports before we worry about anything.

i believe his intentions are to play both baseball and football if he comes

Can you or Bshirt elaborate? As far as what he's missing to be able to pitch at the next level? All I read was "96 mph fastball", which isn't everything(though it's a lot!).
