Husker Z
I wait for this site to be updated every single week as I think it's the most accurate out there. It's not just Phil Steele picking games, it's a big formula and the game is "played" numerous times, then we get the result. I love this!!!! #5 NEBRASKA VS TEXAS Rushing Passing Points TO’s ST TEXAS 102 158 13 3.1 - NEBRASKA 244 108 31 2.6 •• LAST 13 YEAR MATCHUPS There may be no game this past offseason that got more press than this Big 12 Title game rematch as Nebraska left the Big 12 because of Texas. The Huskers will be looking for revenge from last year’s 13-12 loss where the officials put :01 back on the clock that allowed the Horns to kick a 46 yd game-winning FG. UT did hold NU to just 106 total yds but this year may be a different story as the Huskers offense is much improved thanks to their talented young QB Taylor Martinez. “T-Magic” last week had 241 rush yds (a Neb QB record) and 4 TD’s and already has 737 rush yds (10.8!) and 12 TD’s on the season! Texas is off a bye and is a perfect 11-0 the L/11 yrs following the Oklahoma game. The last time the Horns lost 3 consecutive games was in HC Brown’s first season in 1999 and while I expect a great effort here, Nebraska is just too good at home. PHIL’S FORECAST : NEBRASKA 27 TEXAS 13 Quote Link to comment
NUance
244 rushing yards? Shoot, we've had QBs rush for nearly that much. Heh. Quote Link to comment

bshirt
Yep, Phil is one sharp cookie. He once again looks on the money to me. NU is just too fully locked & loaded.... Quote Link to comment

knapplc
What does the ST stand for? I think it's Special Teams, but I'm not a Steele reader. Quote Link to comment
308_Husker
What does the ST stand for? Special Teams, I believe. We get the outright advantage there according to him. IS IT SATURDAY YET?? Quote Link to comment

That's what I thought, but I was wondering what the bullets stood for so I figured it stood for something else. Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
What does the ST stand for? I think it's Special Teams, but I'm not a Steele reader. Correct. Steele compares special teams by dots instead of straight stats. Each dot represents a ST matchup which favors that team. So NU has favorable matchups in 2 phases of ST while UT has none. bleedNUred
I'd take that score all day long, just as long as we win like we should. Quote Link to comment
huskernumerouno
I hope he is correct but I still feel deep down this is going to be a dog fight. Quote Link to comment
ESPY
Nebraska is just too good at home. Obviously Texas has our number here in Lincoln the last couple times, but it's gonna be different come 10/16. This is gonna be a "changing of the guard" with a power shift in NU's direction. And it's about time too! Quote Link to comment

knapplc
Only thing that sucks is Bo is 0-2 in Big XII Home openers... If such stats were true then Alabama shouldn't have lost to South Carolina, because 'Bama hadn't lost in over a year. Quote Link to comment
