Thank you Zach Lee

Recommended Posts

T-Magic is a wild dog being let loose on the field, not a great football player. He's athletic enough to blow away competition not ready for his level of speed, but the best hunters are going to gun him down like he's nothing. Texas crushed that kid today. Lee came in and we saw a quarterback that if he'd had a chance to play a full game probably would have had us in position to win.

Please do not post on here any more. Do you follow college football at all? I hope you are a TROLL! TROLL TROLL TROLL please be a TROLL because that is just insane.

Uh what? What was so offensive about his post that said troll?

Fact is simple. When Taylor is in the game, the D will focus on stopping him. When Lee is in the game, they'll focus more on the RBs. Nobody is going to worry about the WRs much until they catch somthing (maybe they can catch a cold?).

Do I think Lee is better than Taylor, no not really. I do think in the big games Lee looks more composed. Also, I think with Lee in the game, they have to look at more options, which is opening up more options. If we just USED more options when Taylor was in the game we might be better off.

Lee will NEVER break an 80 yd TD run. He won't even throw more 80 yd TD passes than Taylor. But, if I had to drive the ball 80 yds down the field against a GOOD defense, I'd rather have Lee than Taylor. Who'd you rather have?

Taylor. Taylor made all of the passes that Zac did, and because of Taylor's legs, there were guys running WIDE open down the field. Just couldn't catch the ball.

Since you played almost 1/2 the game I'm sure someone will find a way to blame the loss on you but.....

You came in with some poise and moved the ball when T-magic tinkled down his leg. 4th and 18 and you threw a TD.....oh, wait, should've been a TD.

Apparently when people drop passes and the line isn't able to open truck sized running holes T-magic is T-freshman. And I thought everything last year was your fault. Who knew?

Total and comnplete horsesh*t.

Z. Lee did the same thing Tmart did.....throw balls to wrs who dropped them. Your disgusting post is pathetic.

So what did he actually accomplish?? Zero points (gee, imagine that).

Wrong son.

T-freshman was pulled because he was looking rattled. He was making really bad reads. Both had passes dropped by Martinez put the ball on the carpet and couldn't make his reads in the run game. Watch the 3rd quarter again. He looked lost. Time to sit and watch.

Lee moved the ball on 2 drives. One ended in 3 points (not 0) which ties Martinez. The other would've had points but we were forced to go on 4th down. ...and he threw a TD pass to Kinney. (dropped).

I don't really care that Lee doesn't start. If he lost the job, then he lost the job. Martinez has way more upside but when not playing a team of cream puffs he looks like what he is. Young.

All of the Lee bashing last year was, in your words " total and complete horsesh*t."

If you don't think Zach looked better than Taylor today you must be high.

Sorry, I'm just not in a good mood.

Lee's "drive" was mostly the 30 yds in penalties. Big whoopie. A fg!! When down by 17. He ran just like he did last year....a crippled old lady. Tmart was NOT pissing down his leg (as you state). He just couldn't get anybody to catch his passes.

Anyway, the bottom line is the WCO for the umpteenth time got totally stuffed by a decent to good defense. I wish to God we would just get rid of it once and for all.

We are all on edge when we lose. Especially to a team we want to beat that bad.

Pissing down his leg may be exaggerated but it was more than dropped passes. He just looked his age really.

Looks like we won't reach resolution around Lee's drive(s).

I'm not sahying this loss is on Taylor. I'm also not saying that Taylor doesn't add another dimension to stop. All I'm saying is 2:00 minutes left, 80 yards to drive, against a GOOD D (OU, TX, AL). I'd rather have Lee (THIS YEAR, give Taylor another year and it won't even be a comparison). I think our offense is too one player dimensionsal with Taylor at QB (and I actually think it is MUCH MUCH MUCH more the play calling than the player).

Sorry but this is a BS post over somebody still crying for Lee. Taylor put balls in right on the money today and they were dropped just the same way Lee's were. He should have never been pulled. If he is the coaches choice as starting QB then let him ride it out.

Sorry but this is a BS post over somebody still "dizzturbed" about Lee. Taylor put some balls in right on the money today, and some of them sucked and they were dropped just the same way Lee's were (which were....all on the money I do believe). He should have been pulled, and was, not because of his throwing, but because of his poor decision making and ability to lead the offense down the field. His zone read game was lousy, straight out.

could not agree more

Yep. We needed a spark. Lee looked good at the helm. I don't know why we got so many folks ragging on a backup quarterback. That's what he is - a backup. And when he comes in, I want him to know what the hell he's doing. Z. Lee did that today. Threw some damn nice footballs. Can't run worth sh#t.... but threw some damn nice footballs. :LOLtartar

And more importantly, which part is untrue? Who here thinks that Iowa, Alabama, Ohio State, or even Oklahoma is going to have any problem handling Taylor?

I picked the wrong metaphor, yes, because it conveys character traits Taylor doesn't have, but the facts are he's a redshirt frehsman who has made some pretty sloppy reads and got dominated in the run game by a defense with speed. Which, by the way, in itself wouldn't be bad except it happened once before already.

I get the sense reality hasn't totally seeped in for everyone. Taylor isn't GREAT. He's not great YET. He may get that way, but this is his first big game, his first loss in college, and his first season ever under this much pressure. That's a lot to ask of someone of his age and experience.

But "if" the at least six passes from Tmart weren't dropped it's a different ballgame and there's zero chance he gets pulled. But anyway.....

As soon as we find/recruit and sign a QB that can throw a pass and catch it 20 yards downfield, I will say thank you to the back up that came and got us 10 points.

The WR's were an embarrassment. Does Thenarse know how to wrap up and tackle??? 10 points came off of him not wrapping up.(embarrassment) I didn't see one coach get in his ear or take him out of the game. Shoulder slam tackles are for pop warner footall not big D1 schools.

Are you telling me the coaches pulled our starting quarterback because the receivers can't catch? To bring in a better passer? Um. I don't really get it.

i would prefer some receivers who can catch the ball...where the hell was McNeil all day long?

Paul will be dismal at the next level.
