markhusker05
I hate to hear that Layne Reeves is having to quit the basketball program. I was looking forward to seeing her play these next couple of years. She had alot of potential. Good luck in the future Layne. Quote Link to comment

kc_husker
Well why is she quitting? Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
This brings the hot quota down. Plus she is a really nice girl from what i have heard from a few players. Sad to see.. Best of luck to her! Quote Link to comment
bball_backer
She's done cause of a knee. Minnesota_husker you nailed it. If she was dating anyone other than a football player I'd go after her... however I don't think I need to piss off him and his friends. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I have met Layne - although I didn't know it at the time. I ran into the above-mentioned football player at the grocery store and chatted with him a while. I didn't want to stare, but his girlfriend was REALLY nice looking! I talked to him about the team, about the volleyball team and the school in general. Never figured out that was Layne standing next to him, with a huge smile, very charming. Funny thing is, I've watched her play more often than him. I just didn't know that work-a-day basketball player cleaned up so well! Quote Link to comment
mmmtodd
knapp, its official. you are a confirmed Husker Stalker. do they give you a card for that? Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
I was gonna say it too. Layne Reeves for the Bball team=Tara Mueller to the volleyball team. Minnesota hit it on the head devastating hit to the hotness quota of the women's bball team. Quote Link to comment
markhusker05
I totally agree......Layne is to the Husker BB team as what Tara was to the Husker VB team. And now they are both gone! Hope everyone enjoyed the photos I posted. I was hoping to take alot more pictures this season, but unfortunately is wasn't meant to be. Quote Link to comment
bball_backer
Do they even have a hotness quota now that she's gone? I haven't seen a game yet this year, is there anyone decent left? Quote Link to comment
GM_Tood
Good luck Layne, we'll miss ya on the court. Quote Link to comment

knapplc
You guys must all be in your 20s. I couldn't care less how "hot" the players on our BB or VB teams are. I want to see the basketball go in the hoop, I want to see crashing boards, I want to see steals and guts and toughness. If they're cute... meh. Doesn't do much for me. Of course, I'm about twice the age of these girls, so.... Anyway, just got back from the BB game. Kansas didn't get the memo that they're supposed to be the victim in the women's game, so it took some time to get the point across. We controlled the whole game, but a miracle three-pointer by a Kansas guard sent it into overtime. Where Nebraska promptly went on a 19-5 run to put the game to bed. See, the memo states that "knapplc does NOT attend games in which the Husker women's BB team loses. Period." Three years I've been going to games. Haven't seen a loss yet. Didn't see Layne Reeves at all, sadly. Got to see Maurtice Ivy's jersey retired, which was pretty cool. Saw Khiry Cooper walk by. But no Reeves. So it goes. Quote Link to comment
bball_backer
I'm surprised Cooper would still go to a game if she's done... what a guy. And yes, I am in my 20's - I don't that much care to watch the women, but if I must, I prefer there be a few lookers. Quote Link to comment
