It's probably just a requirement of the university to post any open positions. UT did the same thing for defensive coordinator when Muschamp left. Quote Link to comment

UNL is a huge business with policies that run across the board. The HC position was likely advertised as a matter of policy too. It's just meeting a policy requirement. Quote Link to comment
