Simple: The Huskers will be six games into their first Big Ten season, and everyone in the league will have found a way to scheme the new team. A week earlier, Nebraska plays at the Big Ten’s craziest environment (Penn State), then rolls into a game at a Michigan team that can hurt the Huskers’ man-under defense with a quarterback (Denard Robinson) who can break containment and make big plays with his legs. Vince Young, Brad Smith, and Roberson were the only QBs that really had success against our D that year.
