Blackshirt96
Unrelated but slightly humorous: Niles Paul holds the Husker record for most yards per touch over one season: 17.5 ypt in 2009. Johnny Rodgers had 15.0 ypt in 1971. I didn't know Niles could hold on to anything. Quote Link to comment

If dropped touches were factored in it would be much lower than 17.5 yds/touch. More like 2.5 yds/touch. Quote Link to comment
NUance
This morning I was reading a book and it mentioned the term “a Knight’s Move” You know, like a knight on a chess board—two ahead and one hop over. And BOOM, it clicked. That was Abdullah’s cool little trickeration hop at the 25 yd line of his 100 yard return against Fresno. A KNIGHT’S MOVE. YEAH!!! (dumb little things like this amuse me . :-) Quote Link to comment
Pedro Guerrero
Interesting how we are still waiting on him to reach 1000 All Purpose yards. It is amazing how the opposing teams have figured out how to make him a complete non factor. Quote Link to comment

Only 139 yds in five games since then. Sitting at 955 all purpose yds right now. I thought Abdullah would hit 1,000 by about the Mich St or Northwestern game. Now I just hope he makes it for the year. Which would still be pretty impressive. *sigh* That's about the way this season has panned out. Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
Why hasn't he been returning kicks? Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
Why hasn't he been returning kicks? Welp...opposing teams haven't been kicking to him....that's a start Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
Why hasn't he been returning kicks? He's been back there. They just kick it to the other guy. Quote Link to comment
tab-neb
Can't the coaches think of a formation where Ameer is the only guy returning kicks? 2 Quote Link to comment
junior4949
Yeah, if they want to run the possibility of the kicking team fielding the kickoff. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
If the defense keeps giving up points at a Cosgroven pace he should get there in the next two games. Ha ha! Yeah, he's got that going for him, to help his yardage out. Unfortunately. And next year if the Defense is squared away, people will complain about his lack of effort Quote Link to comment
NUance
Abdullah just missed 1000 yards, regular season. I think he got up to 996 yds, but then his last run in the game lost 7 yards. I believe he finished with 989 or 990 yards total. Freaky. Quote Link to comment
