houstonbuckeyes
It appears that the Huskers have the inside track on getting into the first Big Ten Championship game. All you need to do is win out. I am curious to know which team you would like to meet once you get there. I would prefer that the Buckeyes win their remaining games and get a rematch with the Huskers. However, the Buckeyes have many issues to resolve in order to make it to the title game. What do you think? Huskers vs Buckeyes for the title? Quote Link to comment
kchusker_chris
naw - i want another shot at wisconsin. ...but i don't want to get too far ahead of myself. last year at this time we'd just killed missouri at home...and u know where that went. Quote Link to comment
WoodyHayes1951
If the Huskers take care of Business I think it comes down to The Game for the other division. Ie. If the Bucks beat the wolverweenies then they go to Indy. And I do have a pair of tickets for the game in Indy Quote Link to comment
Enhance
I want another shot at Wisconsin, too. I think Nebraska has a much better chance this second time around, because I think Nebraska did more offensively to lose that game than Wisconsin did defensively to win it. The interceptions Wisconsin made weren't really athletic or great plays on the ball - they were just horrible passes by Martinez straight to Wisconsin DB's. Furthermore, if our defense keeps this pace up, I like our chances against Wilson. He's a good quarterback, no question, but he isn't great. He likes to loft balls and have his receivers go out there and make plays, and our secondary (the last two weeks) has been making those plays against those lofted balls. We did a fantastic job of it against MSU, who has receivers on the same level of Wisconsin. If Martinez hadn't had two bad interceptions, UW would have won the game, but not like they did. Probably would have been something in the area of 31-21 or 37-31. I think the difference between our defense then and now is night and day, and I think UW would be in the same precarious situation Nebraska was in last year in the Holiday Bowl having to play a team they blew out earlier in the season, only to end up losing. I like and respect the Buckeyes more than Wisconsin, I really did not like the Wisconsin chant at the end of the game mocking the Huskers --- that really was bush league. So... I like OSU better than Wisconsisn by a great deal. Buckeye fans seem to be great sports and know how to deal with success (and struggling to regain success). Wisconsin fans do not know how to deal with what modest success that they have had. So... I prefer OSU a great deal. That said, I'd love to see the Huskers play and beat Wisconsin. That said, if Wisconsin does not even get there, then that is even better. So... bring on the Buckeyes, they are a class opponent and playing them again would be great. Quote Link to comment
ADS
Another shot at Wisconsin is what I'm rooting for. But, a rematch against OSU wouldnt be a bad thing either. They have been getting better with every game, especially Braxton Miller. All Nebraska needs to do is win out, but that's easier said than done in a conference like the Big Ten. Man, I'm glad to be in the Big Ten. Quote Link to comment

Buckeye fans are often touted as some of the worst in college football. It's a matter of experience, of course, but it seems to pop up far more often than good things do. Quote Link to comment

I heard a lot of T-sips complaining about how they were treated in Columbus a few years back. I was at the game and did not see any of it, but can imagine that if they were walking around campus throwing hook em horns gestures at people that they were not welcomed very well. Hand gestures seem to be popular in Texas (hook em horns, gig em aggies, get yur guns or whatever that thing is that Texas Tech does), but they are not popular in the Big Ten, so you might as well be flipping someone off. I am sure each school has it's share of poor sports. There are plenty of bad Buckeye fans, but many more of us that are good sports and enjoy the competition and open discussions. bdubb75
I think Michigan State still has the best chance based on odds looking at their remaining schedule versus ours, assuming they win out. I don't care who we play as long as we get in and win! Quote Link to comment
