Hercules
I wonder how much weight Martinez put on....he doesn't have that speed like last year He doesn't need it in Beck's offense. And he is still faster than most of the guys on the field. Still looks very fast to me... I think teams are just doing a better job of containing him. He'll also get better at the option and the zone read (hopefully) in the offseason, and that might open up some running lanes. Quote Link to comment
bshirt
I don't think Martinez is that much slower than last year he just just hasn't had a lot of holes to run through. Bingo. Quote Link to comment
Haspula
We haven't turned the ball over so far. Nice! Quote Link to comment

knapplc
Taylor Martinez has moved past Vince Ferragamo on the NU career passing list in today’s game and is within 40 yards of passing Turner Gill. Should get that this half. Quote Link to comment
Foppa
I don't think Martinez is that much slower than last year he just just hasn't had a lot of holes to run through. Bingo. I'd agree with that. However...I'm a little divided on all the sliding he does. Quote Link to comment

OmahaPlaya
Ouch he got drilled! Quote Link to comment
Hercules
Martinez is also keeping his eyes downfield, looking to make throws as plays break down, as opposed to just taking off as soon as his first read is covered. Some of the runs that he made even against Oklahoma State last year aren't happening because he's less panicky in the pocket and better about reading his progression and finding an open man.
