It'sNotAFakeID
Just get over it. Twitter is an outlet. If a player goes to a restaurant or other public place he could hear the same things. If he allows himself to be essentially trolled then that is his fault and many players find themselves in fights and legal trouble because of it. There are a lot of great comments and constructive criticism as well in all media forms and you just have to filter out the ridiculous. I agree. While I don't agree with players being trolled or attacked personally, this stuff is inevitable when they put themselves out there on twitter, etc. IMO they shouldn't be allowed to tweet. They are college football players and students. They don't need those kind of distractions. Them being on twitter actually supports one of my theories of why this team has struggled so much. These players are spoiled, propped up and think they are superstars. The first class treatment they receive goes to their head and I think that ultimately affect their play on the field. Instead of playing with heart, determination and a genuine love for the game, they make the mistake of thinking they are better than others and don't give it their all. They feel entitled are more worried about self promotion and being a star. Just think about how the Peter brothers or any of the other "animals" used to play. Those guys were insane and killed themselves every Saturday and didn't take anything for granted. What? I'm a college student, am I not allowed to have a twitter or Facebook account? I don't think our players think they are better than everyone else and I don't think they take everything for granted. I would guarn-damn-tee you that if social media would've existed back when the Peter brothers were playing, they would've been on twitter and Facebook as well. Oh, and I too would like to see snell kicked off the board if at all possible. Quote Link to comment

Landomatic
Looks like they are fighting again... Double Martin just needs to stop. He's not doing himself any favors. Yeah, this guy (and a few others it looks like) are dumb asses, but Eric needs to rise above it. He's looking like his wheels are flying off right now. Not smart.. https://twitter.com/#!/EMar46 Quote Link to comment

Glendower
Goes to show how focused our players are... shocking that a group of 18-22 year olds are using insanely popular social media outlets, i know. Hahah Yeah, people have to stop being surprised about this. Quote Link to comment

If the SEC fans are smart enough to have Twitter, then I'm sure it happens a lot. Quote Link to comment
Huskerlambs
I just don't understand why a Husker fan would antagonize a player on his favorite team. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I just don't understand why a Husker fan would antagonize a player on his favorite team. Apparently he feels that, due to circumstances earlier in his life, he has license to berate the players. He sent me an explanation via PM. I'd post it, but it's private. If he comes on here to explain himself, fine, but I'm not going to post his private message here. Quote Link to comment

He most likely has little man syndrome or was picked on a lot when he was young. He also might be overall mad at life since his probably didn't turn out the way he wanted. Quote Link to comment

HuskerShark
For those who havnt read it, a guy told a a few players, one was BK, about how pathetic of an effort they gave besides lavonte, said they were too scared to win, pelinis post game was bad and he's a loser, eric martin then jumped in and said he made a mistake disrespecting the players and he'd find him, and then the guy said "not scared, saw you try to catch D Rob" i thought the last line was kinda funny, but its rediculous this guy is saying these kind of things to our players HAHAHAHA. That's a great line. But Eric should really shut his mouth and not threaten people over social media. I'm pretty sure that's a crime. I have absolutely ZERO problem with it. I may only be 21, but I'm pretty old-fashioned. If somebody spouts off about my teammates or family, they better hope I don't see them on the street anywhere... Quote Link to comment

HuskerBill85
Why do the coaches even allow this stuff? The kids aren't focused at all then you allow this kind of stuff to happen? Quote Link to comment
