Is the sellout streak in jeopardy? :ahhhhhhhh

Welp, there goes the tradition and what not. Man, this next recruiting class is REALLY gonna suck now. Might as well put a basketball court in the middle of Memorial, probably draw more of a crowd...

I probably should add, for the new members: I was commenting "tongue in cheek" with regards to an old thread about the sellout streak!!!

11 am after T-giving after a 28 pt drubbing.

Be happy if the stadium is full by kick-off.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

But, I am a realist.

My unscientific theory is that more NU staff/locals/old people keep or get tickets for this game. NU staff and faculty, despite their protestations are not loud. Old people, though a few are loud, are mostly of the "Sit down, there is no need to keep standing between plays" variety.

A few years ago I headed to this after T-giving game my usual 90 or so minutes before kick-off. There WAS NO traffic. It was so eerilly empty on the road (I lived in Lincoln at the time), I had a panic attack because I thought that I got the kick-off time wrong somehow. I tuned in and heard Greg Sharpe doing pre-game. Whew.

But, people were still filing into their seats far later than usual.
