True2tRA
Some of you remind me of these two. Those who fail to post valid points, resort to comical youtube videos.... Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
Sad we cant recruit guys that even Southern Miss can like Are you implying that Southern Miss has better players (athletes) then we do?? Really?? How many Lavonte Davids, Fonzo Dennards, Burkheads, Cricks, etc. do they have?? I love how the guy lists the four best players on this team, 3 of which are graduating seniors, and then puts a little etc. on the end of that. LOL. Some of your posts make me laugh. You care to fill in more of those names? What if Southern Miss does recruit consistently more talented players than Nebraska? Or what if their coaches just develop lesser talented players better than we do? Anyone can come on here and name our best players and the say "etc." I hate to inform you that there are a lot of teams out there that don't just rely on 4 guys to carry their team. You gonna sit here and try to tell me that Burkhead didn't carry this offense this year? You gonna try to tell me that when we lost Crick our defensive line didn't fall apart? How would this team have faired without Fonzie and David out there? Yea, that's what i thought. Every team has playmakers, but lots of other teams get consistent play from nearly every position on the field. Not great play, but consistent play. Don't be surprised if Southern Miss comes in here next year and plays a tough game. Explain to me what Crick did for the d-line. It stunk when he was still playing and it stunk after he got hurt. Yes, who the hell is Crick? The guy wasn't missed at all on the defensive line this year. You trolls got to get help. Are you being serious? Yeah, Crick was a good player, but we didn't skip a beat without him. Granted, the results were just as underwhelming as they were with him, but IMO he made almost NO difference on the D-line. In fact, him getting injured may have been a blessing in disguise because we got experience for guys like Chase Rome, Jay Guy, and a couple other guys that will really be valuable going into next year. Logic/Reality doesn't sit well with this guy.... Are you being serious? What is there to disagree with? Quote Link to comment

ladyhawke
I miss physical smashmouth football on the defensive time. I miss the option and a really strong run game. Quote Link to comment
carlfense
I miss dominant line play on both sides of the ball. I miss big and fast offensive linemen blocking 15 yards down field. I miss defensive linemen who disrupt plays rather than standing and playing patty-cake with offensive linemen until the play is 10 yards past them. (I'd put Crick in that category as well. Always more hype than substance with him.) 1 Quote Link to comment
Captain Hindsight
I could be wrong but I do believe this thread is artarded. You are not wrong. ^^This^^ Quote Link to comment
NUpolo8
I know Burkhead is a beast and him David saved our winning season. But do you know what I really miss?? A back that can break one for an 80 yard touchdown. Not once but a handful of times in a season. ie. Ahman Green, Deangelo Evans, Cory Ross, Corell Buckhalter, Lawrence Phillips and so on..... His name is Taylor Martinez. And when he did it, a lot of people bitched about how dependent NU was on the "big play". And, you just lumped Deangelgo and Ross with three of the best Huskers ever. Not to mention overlooking A few great ones. How long exactly do you have to stop walking until your gum is sufficiently chewed? Quote Link to comment

We now whine & bitch that Tmart isn't running as much and making the big plays. Last year, be whined & bitched that he was selfish making all those big plays and he needs to distribute the ball more. Lol! Never boring..... Quote Link to comment
Hammerhead
I miss having an offensive line that could open up holes big enough for a rhino to charge through. I miss having a defensive line that could prevent those holes from being created (oh, and tackle, I definitely miss that). But most of all, I miss the days when we had a team good enough that we didn't have to constantly bitch and bicker about what needs to be done to FIX THE DAMN THING. Quote Link to comment
beanman
I'm with Carlfense and Hammerhead on this one. I want to see special teams and defense played in the fashion that LSU plays them. The fly around and smack people. I hate them, but they are what I want us to be on the field(off the field, not so much). Quote Link to comment
ladyhawke
I miss Kent Pavelka calling the games. He knew every kid on that team. Knew where they were from, their stats. I also miss Adrian Feala (sp?) calling the game with Matt Davidson. I miss knowing that every year there were certain games that you knew you were going to win automatically, some that would be a little tougher and then the OU game. I really miss that OU game. It was so much fun! I especially liked it when we beat the crap out of them. Switzer used to get SO MAD!!! Quote Link to comment
HeyBurke
I miss the times when our punt coverage team could actually, you know, cover a punt and allow the returner to, you know, return. Quote Link to comment
