Lavonte's two years at NU: #1 and #5 in total tackles per year. Hats off to you, sir. We're gonna miss you next year.

He will go down as one of the greatest Blackshirts of all-time. He is definitely one of my top 5 favorite Huskers ever. He was so much fun to watch and always gave it 100%. Didn't get in trouble and represented the University with absolute class both years he was here.

Should David's two years and Ruud's 2003 season have an asterisk next to their names since their totals were aided by bowl games? They didn't start adding bowl stats to season totals until 2002.

 

Naw. These are Nebraska fans. Everyone here knows that the numbers for Pillen, Murtaugh, Kunz and Knox are for fewer regular season games and don’t include the bowl game. But if this was the message board of some lesser program—like say, South Carolina—you’d need an asterisk. With a simplified language explanation in large block letters written in crayon.

Well I've never heard it called that before. But now it's gone forever. I just saw it circling the bowl and swirl down the drain a few minutes ago.
