Kyle Porter (LHP, 1-0) Mon., March 12 - 12:05 p.m.: Jr. Tyler Niederklein (RHP, 1-1) vs. Cal - So. Mike Theofanopoulos (LHP, 0-1) The Husker offense will obviously see better pitching this weekend than they have since the Zags. Hopefully the bats stay fairly hot as they have been in most of the games so far this year. These guy are going to have to keep the errors at a minimum and make sure they take advatage of RISP. Seems like this has been a bit of a hiccup so far this year. We have put up some good offensive numbers so far but I would like to see more consistency. Good Luck and Go Big Red! Omaha-Husker
Creighton was at Cal, if it matters. Quote Link to comment
95huskers
Creighton was at Cal, it it matters. You are right. My bad. Fixed. Quote Link to comment
VectorVictor
Actually, 7-3 now, bottom of the fifth w/one out, runners on the corners. Cali is having problems now, and NU pitching has blanked out Cali since they got their runs. Here's hoping they claw their way back... Quote Link to comment
VectorVictor
7-4 now, one out, runners at 1st and 2nd, 9th batter of inning for DoNU. Quote Link to comment
VectorVictor
Now, bases loaded, two out, bottom of 5th, 7-4. Farmer beat the throw to 1st to get bases loaded. Quote Link to comment
VectorVictor
Batter strikes out looking, 4R on 5H and 1E for Nebraska, going to Top of 6th 7-4. Quote Link to comment
VectorVictor
Cal puts one back on the board to go up 8-4, Top 6th, 1 out. Appears that Erstad is making a change at pitcher, but I can't hear the audio. VectorVictor
The Fighting Erstads stop Cal at 1, get out of the top of the sixth with a fly out to shallow right, 8-4, bottom of 6th. Quote Link to comment
huskerswrkhavoc
Batter strikes out looking, 4R on 5H and 1E for Nebraska, going to Top of 6th 7-4. Wrong. He struck out on a check swing. Pitch was a ball, but he went around. Quote Link to comment
VectorVictor
Thanks Havoc. I am right about Nebraska tying it up 8-8 in the bottom of the 9th with the winning run on second w/one out, yes? Actually, I'm not--we had two out, and we hit one right back to the pitcher--we're in extra innings against Cal. Quote Link to comment
RedTexan
Tied 8-8 going into extra innings. Quote Link to comment
VectorVictor
Top of 10th, one out already. Quote Link to comment
