***Polls are out**

I like the look of the rankings. Nebraska isn't jumping too soon, and as/if we keep winning we will keep moving up the polls, I'd rather start in the middle to end of the top 25 and work our way up that start too high, when you are ranked high at the beginning, there is only 1 way to move, down.

I do favor the "climb" up the polls. I remember our first championship...everything, right down to the last bowl games had to fall just right for us to move up to the #1 spot. I guess that kind of captured my imagination. Although, having said that...going pole to pole as the Number 1 would be acceptable too!!!!

If I were a poll voter, I'd honestly stick Frank's Ohio squad in there at 23-25'ish. Penn has obviously been hit hard, but it was still a tough venue to play in against a team that desperately wanted to come out and do something positive. With Boise, Southern Miss and Houston all losing, and TCU in the Big 12, I also think that one token non-AQ school should still be in there...certainly they deserve to be there more than Florida who damn near lost to a MAC team at home.

Wow look at Texas State!

Yeah, behind us where they belong. I saw the AP poll listed along with the ESPNU poll but not the coaches poll. We were listed at #14 for that poll too:

He's getting a little love. In the Forde yard dash, they gave him some love. They said if they can get passed Marshall it's quite likely Ohio will go undefeated this year. Anyone remember a couple of years ago when Ohio gave Ohio State all they wanted early in the season?

I think we are close to where we belong (13-15 range is my guess). The only rankings I have problem with is South Carolina, Wisconsin & Oklahoma. All three teams looked pretty sad against much weaker teams. I give SC a more slack due to Vandy always being a tough team to play. I just don't understand how the polls don't do some major shifting after the 1st week when they really know where teams are at.
