grandpasknee
Dang nearly brings tears to my eyes watching Rex play and thinking of how awesome he is in all aspects...for his whole career. Quote Link to comment
irafreak
Hey Will Compton! When you see this message....pass along to Rex from all of Huskerboard...THANKS for a great career and finish strong! Quote Link to comment
Paul in WI
I've been fortunate enough to witness our various all-time great running backs, and I'll say this about Rex: There is no other Husker running back, past or present, that I'd place more trust with the football than him. Period. Quote Link to comment
chickenheart
I can tell you this much, when N was backed up into their own endzone and with the possibility of punting into the wind to give Iowa great field position, could have been a whole different game without the 2 tough runs in a row by Burkhead. I think people forget just how tough and hard he runs and, in a game like today, made all of the difference in the world. ESPN gave him much needed love today! GO BIG RED!!! Quote Link to comment

His second run was just ridiculous. I couldn't believe how many yards he got after contact. Quote Link to comment
lo country
AA has been great for us this year. Saved us when rex went down, BUT there is a difference in the way Rex runs and the other backs do. Granted this is his 4th year as opposed to the 2nd for AA and Heard, but he just plays at a higher level. Unsure if we win if rex hadn't come in. Quote Link to comment
Goal-line
Rex IS the man! He most certainly is. No doubt about it. I bet it felt good as hell for him when scored the TD. I hope he plays well in the title game. He came up huge today. Quote Link to comment
RichS
If he goes to the pro's I hope he ends up on my team. The Chargers need you Rex! Quote Link to comment
TaraTony
As I have said on other occasions, only a few of the 'great' Huskers are beloved. Rex, you are in that pantheon. Quote Link to comment
