Lyons in the Sea of Red.
Is it just me or are some of the lesser bowls getting better swag than the Capitol One bowl? Is it me or does anyone else cringe at the casual, everyday use of the word 'swag'. It's a silly word fit for use by pop rappers and teeny boppers. In this case, SWAG = Stuff We All Get Otherwise, I agree with you. It's overused and pretty stupid, but YOLO The other day I picked up some sick new SWAG, went out and robbed some banks cuz YOLO, was feeling pretty good HYFR, but then I got caught by the popo. Ah well, FISH. 1 Quote Link to comment

An Oakley backpack? What? Has Oakley been "relevant" in the past 10 years? NewEra hats? Also, I don't like the thought of rewarding a lot of these teams, especailly the ones that are, like 6-6 with a bowl trip and bunch of "swag". Comes back to, "everyone gets a trophy" logic. i think it comes back to how much these student athletes earn for the bowls' sponsors. Quote Link to comment

Whistlebritches
Capital One: Nebraska $420 shopping trip to a local Best Buy, Fossil watch I'm not a Best Buy fan, but I certainly wouldn't turn it down. You could get a new cassette player for your IROC Camaro You missed the most obvious of choices for The Dude. He needs a new rug. Quote Link to comment

In any case, how has Best Buy not gone out of business yet? $420 would go so much farther on newegg. Quote Link to comment

HuskerThor
$420 is an interesting number they came up with. I could understand that number better if the bowl game was being played in Colorado or Washington state. Quote Link to comment
