Count 'Bility
Bo never took a year off when he knew he was taking a job all along to flaunt his all over ESPN 4-5 hours a week either. I'm sure Urban's short broadcasting career and his numberous ESPNagenda-driven appearances prior to the NC game have nothing to do with his publicity and quick recruiting success. Bo gets shredded for yelling at a player. Urban gets glorified while literally being an arrogant ass. The double standard is puke-worthy. Quote Link to comment
skersfan
It is business account, nothing more. You sell what sells, you get your name/image in front of the cameras in as positive light as possible. Bo had some hickups, but is figuring that out I think. But comparing their marketability is a non issue. Urban has won the big games, won the MNC. He is head and shoulders above Bo in national image. He is a name that kids recognize as a winner. Bo not so much yet. This year, Bo should get the wins he needs to really earn the trip to the CCG. If he can win that game, then he will have a chance at recruiting with Urban. But you also have to understand you are recruiting against Ohio State, which has been a dominant force in the Big 10 forever. Hoke inherited that same name brand. We are the new guys, and Bo is the new guy. Takes time to establish the foothold. It takes wins of important games that kids see and remember. 1 Quote Link to comment

I think it would serve Bo well to let ESPN, or BTN into his practices more. I know he doesn't like that type of thing, but it might be beneficial if not necessary in the game today.... When Bo wants to be (like at his recruiting press conference) he is very likable. It is easy to appreciate his cander, and he often shows how reasonable, and smart he is, when he wants too.... Urban is great at what he does, but he is a douche-bag.... Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
Is it business, yes? There are a ton of business guys, though that do business without being arrogant jerks. I can't think it a bad thing that urban wants to help the B1G image, the way he delivers that message is what I find fault with. Quote Link to comment
Duke Silver
If we lose to MICH we likely will not be in the CCG. Quote Link to comment

Urban is great at what he does, but he is a douche-bag.... I think when Bo first got back here and in charge, he had this "his way or the hi-way" attitude. Wouldnt take any gruff from media. Was NOT going to be told otherwise on anything. He has so much grown into the role as being more and more level headed with each day. His press conferences anymore are so much more informative and he'll even go off on such discussions that are so enlightening to what he knows. I think it's a result of after 5 years now just settling in with the media members and personell of the athletic dept. You get to know people, you just become more comfortable. I also think the real turning point of Bo's public personna was the post game speech (yes, more of a speech, not a presser) of the Penn St 2011 game in regards to that whole "situation". To me he's been a different man since. Quote Link to comment
