Raunchy, raunchy history Top Gear: BBC already made this show, but instead of sucking, the British show is one of the greatest TV shows of the last 2 decades Mounted in Alaska: I think this is porn. But credit where credit is due, there are some shows that are good and actually learn ya a bit about history! Pawn Stars and American Pickers - primarily entertainment but you can learn a lot of cool stuff (mostly trivia type stuff) Mankind the Story of All of Us How the States got their Shapes - or is it just "The States" now? I don't know. Good show though. America: the Story of Us The Presidents - cool show but IIRC they don't talk about the Presidents in any sort of chronological order. Just random stuff. As JJ said, it seems to me that it follows the Bible pretty closely although I admit I'm no expert on that. I'm guessing that most of the issues people would have with the series would be with the actual context of the Bible instead of the show's production. And on the Obama thing, it's definitely overblown. The picture I posted is photoshopped to make him look browner. He's a lot silveryer on the show, so it loses a lot of the resemblance. Nothing to see with the actor though; that particular guy has portrayed biblical, and even satanic, characters before. He's a well-established and well-respected actor. What would you really expect? A couple atheists to be in charge of a series called THE BIBLE? I haven't watched 32 seconds of it, so someone who has can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing the show isn't really hiding the fact that it's aimed towards Christians. You misunderstand me. I'm not saying that as in, "Oh..I was going to watch it until I found out those darn Christians were in charge of it, we know they won't get it right." Joel Osteen and Rick Warren are deceptive wolves that preach a false gospel. I didn't watch it real close because I turned it on in the middle of part three and coincidently, I was reading the Bible at the same time. Freakishly, at one point in the program, they were word for word on TV with what I was reading. Not sure that means they hold that true throughout or not but it was quite a coincidence. I'm sure their take on things might not be as precise as some would prefer. I'm just spit ballin here but guessing that Landlord would find some issues with something. See above, but let me clarify, I have not seen the show nor do I have any opinion on the show. I'm merely cautious and concerned. If the show is a faithful depiction of biblical events, then I will praise God and rejoice that He's working through that all day long. But both aforementioned men have a consistent history of preaching and promoting contrary to the gospel. Hell, Joel Osteen cuts and pastes Scripture together in his "sermons". Link to comment
