knapplc
In this thread we have Dems Who are the "Dems" posting in this thread? Here's who's posted: knapplc (the thread starter - THE OP!!!!) QMany carlfense Junior Creighton Duke BigRedBuster Link to comment
Junior
How am I defensive? I'm only pointing out hypocrisy from the Dems. In this thread we have Dems who claim a Republican only won because of party affiliation and that he can't be trusted because he cheated on his wife...bla bla bla..... Meanwhile, their party holds these three up on the highest pedestal. It really is laughable when one side claims the other does nothing but follow party lines when they are doing the same thing. Well Clinton didn't, to the best of my knowledge, disappear for a week "hiking in the Appalachian mountains" while he was out banging his mistress on a tax payer funded trip... And again, do you have any evidence of any of us posting in here holding these three up on the highest pedestal? Link to comment
carlfense
How am I defensive? Looks pretty defensive to me . . . LOL....says voters for a party who have glorified men like Ted Kennedy, JFK and Bill Clinton to their highest honors in their party. I'm only pointing out hypocrisy from the Dems. In this thread we have Dems who claim a Republican only won because of party affiliation and that he can't be trusted because he cheated on his wife...bla bla bla..... What? Meanwhile, their party holds these three up on the highest pedestal. Riiiiight . . . in that case it shouldn't be too hard to find someone from this thread saying those things. I'll wait. It really is laughable when one side claims the other does nothing but follow party lines when they are doing the same thing. Where did I say that only Republicans do this? Or are you lumping a "side" together? Considering some of your recent statements that would seem . . . well . . . see the bold above. Also, FWIW, I don't think that this Sanford win is terribly important. A Republican congressional candidate won an overwhelmingly Republican district. Link to comment
QMany
Fun fact: Mark Sanford voted to impeach Bill Clinton. 1 Link to comment
carlfense
Relevant: You even see it on this board. People are plugged into categories. Examples.....Democrat, Republican, conservative, liberal, Christian, atheist...etc. Then, what happens is if you post in a thread, some people automatically ASSUME your opinion on a subject based on what category they are perceived to be in. http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/64848-jason-collins-nba-center-12-years-in-the-league-comes-out/page__view__findpost__p__1154637 Less than a week ago. 4 Link to comment
BigRedBuster
My point in several posts lately is that I sit here and read posts lumping conservative groups like Christians, gun owners, Republicans...etc...all into one group over and over again. Meanwhile, more liberal people claim they don't do that. I'm not defensive about anything on this. I didn't vote for him. I was against the impeachment of Clinton and I didn't vote for him either. NUance
Democrats? Republicans? Meh. I guess I'm just not into politics much. Which is why when I first heard that Sanford got elected to Congress, this popped into my head: Link to comment
OH HSKR FAN
In politics why do we have to lump someone's personal character into an argument? If the guy can do the job he can do the job. I could care less if they are having extra marital affairs or watching porno while eating Cheetos. WTF cares. Link to comment

So you're cool with the fact that Sanford used tax money to pay for his liaisons with his mistress? Call me crazy, but I think tax money should be used to fix roads or build bridges or pay for police. Link to comment
