Thanks_Tom RR
Derricott is the #1 JUCO LB and FAST! 3 for 2. His top five are Baylor, Kansas St, South Florida, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. However, Wisconsin is, far-and-away, the leader for Derricott. Chris Beatty has been recruiting Derricott since high school. Derricott has said he would love to commit to the Badgers, but being originally from Virginia, his family thinks Wisconsin is too far. I don't know that that bodes well for us, as we have seen numerous times that mama always wins the recruiting battle. Quote Link to comment

Where does that put him with Nebraska? Quote Link to comment

Where does that put him with Nebraska? I have no idea. Someone on the 247 board thinks this could be a package deal of him and Tyreek Hill. Not sure how the grades thing plays out for us. B.B. Hemingway
Wait, Wisconsin is in on the nation's top players? Since when? Quote Link to comment
HuskerFowler
According to 247 he doesn't have an offer as of now. Academics are playing a key role in this. The staff there asked around and they believe he has not been offered. They did evaluate him in the spring, but it sounds like he's going to have to get his grades in order to get an offer. Thought Nate Clouse said on one of the 1620 shows a few days back that there was some miscommunication and NU actually hadn't offered yet, but showing a lot of interest... may be wrong though Quote Link to comment

Especially with all the young talent in waiting, unless they feel he could've been a real difference maker. Quote Link to comment

We did not offer him, we were waiting for him to fix his grade issues, KSU took a chance on him. Sounds like he has alot of work to do, but if he clears, they got a steal. 1 Quote Link to comment
