Uhh former bud, did you watch the last couple games.... I do believe we have a staff that can coach. But, nice to see you got over the shock of Nebraska winning and have come back to insult them already.

The CU game seemed well coached and well planned, the first in 22 games.

 

As for the UM game, the running game seemed to be working well, but billy c decided he wanted to get the passing game going in the 2nd qtr, look how that worked. And the prevent D that coz-groovy ran at the end almost prevented the win.

 

2 good games dont make up for the 21 other bad games. A step in the right direction, maybe....still alot to prove.

This guy is suppose to be up there with Blake as far as recruiting abilty. Do you guys think Callahan will hire him?

I read somewhere that Callahan's phone has been ringing off the hook for the three positions on his staff that have been vacated.

 

Offensive Assisstant grad position will/might go to his son, who is just graduating from UCLA

 

Defense Assisstant grad position is open

 

TE coach - With Roberts great record of recruiting he would be a good coach, but how well does he know Nebraska. Downing was the lead recruiter in the state, but how much attention do you need to show if your only going to pull three kids a year from. Also where is ROberts most successful in recruiting, what part of the country.

 

Most likely Callahan will not make any offers until after signing day.

father:

"well, coach... uh... formerfan?... it sound like Cornhuskers have quite a program. it's also sounds a good school where my boy can get a good edjumacation."

 

jimmy:

well dave roberts has been in south carolina for a while now so he probably has formed connections in the south and east portions of our great nation. im just guessing though, i have no facts. "But can he coach?" thats what i want to know.

Can he get kids to the heartland to play for Nebraska? i wanna know that too. we just dont want to hire a guy by name alone. (BTW i am a cally supporter. i believe our staff can coach.)
