While our defense has been opportunistic with takeaways, we still have a long way to go in just about every other area. Quote Link to comment
EZ-E
Agree with your point. But anyone that didn't see improvement in last weeks game just simply didn't watch in my opinion. Quote Link to comment
NUinID
I believe a lot of those stats were about 20 pts. lower a week ago. Quote Link to comment
Huskerzoo
With a front 7 as inexperienced as ours is, I'm ok with how things are going. I still like this team this year, and I think next years team is going to be insane. Quote Link to comment
QMany
Yes, our defense is not great, but take these rankings with a grain of salt. We have faced teams with pretty good Total Offense Rankings, and they aren't just from facing us: UCLA (4th), Wyoming (16th), Illinois (40th). Michigan is ranked 13th in Total Defense and 2nd in the Big Ten. They have had the opportunity to face the offenses of Notre Dame (86th), Minnesota (106th), Central Michigan (109th), Akron (112th), and UCONN (119th out of 123!). 1 Quote Link to comment
admo
And in three weeks or so, the meat and potatoes part of the schedule gets good. Getting turnovers is always helpful leveraging some of those stats or weaknesses. Hope we keep ball hawking and forcing turnovers. Would help a lot. Quote Link to comment

Those teams do have good offenses that could give problems to most teams. A question though; Are those rankings prior to playing us? Or do those rankings include playing us? Quote Link to comment

Those rankings do include playing us. We did hold UCLA and Illinois well below their season averages, 57 and 85 yards respectively. Wyoming, not so much. Quote Link to comment
