Longtime college coach Jim Molinari begins his sixth season at Western Illinois and has guided WIU to 40 wins and consecutive postseason appearances over the last two seasons. Molinari, who also coached at Bradley and Northern Illinois, guided the Leathernecks to their most successful season at the Division I level in 2012-13. WIU went 22-9 and tied South Dakota State for the Summit League regular-season title before reaching the CIT for the second straight season. The 22 wins were the school’s highest total since joining the Division I ranks. The Leathernecks, who return a pair of starters among their six letterwinners, are typically proficient on the defensive end, ranking second in the country in scoring defense at 52.6 ppg in 2012-13, while ranking among the top 75 in six other categories. WIU was picked to finish fourth in the preseason Summit League media poll, while senior Adam Link was a preseason second-team all-conference pick after averaging 9.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game last season. In Saturday’s opener, freshman Garret Covington led the Leathernecks with 22 points to place three Leathernecks in double figures. Tate Stensgaard (11) and Remy Roberts-Burnett (10) also cracked double figures, but Stensgaard and backup center Michael Ochereobia fouled out in a combined 20 minutes of playing time. 3 Quote Link to comment
wiuhusker
Nebraska should win this one easily. Just wish I didn't have to work and could actually make it to Lincoln to watch this matchup. Quote Link to comment

C N Red
so...is this one on tv or no? Ya, this? Is the BTDN a TV thing?? Guessing not, but just wondering. Quote Link to comment
huskeraddict
Big Ten Digital Network is a subscription service so it'll only be streamed live online. You can watch if you subscribe to BTDN, which is a different service from BTN2Go. BTN will show a replay tomorrow at Noon central. As a reminder: discussing and/or posting links to pirate streams is against board rules and will result in warnings and temporary bans, if necessary. I'm not sure why they won't air it live on NET. They've done that before with men's basketball so I don't know what the hangup is there. Sunday's game will also be on BTDN and the first game of the Charleston Classic will only be on ESPN3.
